We are talking about it on FB, but FB doesn't have everyone!

So!

I want to start plotting one for Portland area. Jill suggested the zoo. I'd never thought of the zoo, I always think OMSI ;) Zoos are probably better for older sibs?

Should we start an email list of those of us around here so we can plot more easily? What works?

I think that's a great idea! I think there are some options that are less expensive and maybe have more potential for visiting and conversation, as opposed to doing but it really depends on what people were looking for. I think if I was getting to meet you all I'd love to just go to a park or someones house or maybe Portland Playdate or something if it wasn't nice. The zoo and OMSI are very cool, but I think that everyone will have their own pace they want/need to go through the exhibits.

Also, Mares, we need to find a better spot to meet so we can hang out again. Driving all the way to Tigard with my car-hating baby has kept me at bay...

Weekdays are better for us, and unfortunately you ladies missed your chance for a pool party - we moved into the basement apartment at my mom and stepdad's in West Linn! We do have a very nice yard though (eta, with a creek!)

Michelle - I agree. We're in West Linn now, maybe we could meet in Sellwood or something? I forgot, do you ever go to the bins? We need to make a trip there. I also would love your guidance on a sewing project, maybe if you had something you were going to work on I could just glance over your shoulder. Malcolm hardly has any clothes that fit him. He's so big!

I'd love to meet up! I went back to NYC for what was supposed to be at a 1-2 month stay but came back to Portland in a week and a half because the noise outside our East Village apartment kept waking-up Sam...and I missed the support I have out here...

Anyway, I'm moving to SE Portland this weekend. I'm flexible as to where to meet but love the idea of meeting in a park...I was at Tryon Creek recently - - it's wonderful, and there's a tiny nature/visitor center which is nice for the babies to see...

I think their schedule is generally pretty flexible. I can text her and check in. Hey other ladies, why don't you just fly in and meet up with us? Haha you can crash at my house.

I'd love to! Unfortunately DH didn't get his travel grant to the conference, so I doubt we are coming to Portland after all. Boo!

It's awesome there ;) I want to go to the Wildlife Safari down there.

Wildlife Safari depresses me a little bit, tbh. I guess they're always just on the edge of bankruptcy. They get a lot of the meat they feed their animals from local horses etc that have died and they drug the cheetahs so kids can take pictures with them. I thought it was kind of cool as a kid, but not as good as the Portland Zoo. I love Roseburg. I lived there with my aunt and uncle when little girl was a baby. They have the best book store in the world there.
