We just found out at our 21 week ultrasound that our son has a cleft lip. The pictures weren't great, but there don't appear to be other problems with the heart/organs/limbs. We're going to see a specialist in a few weeks, but I'd like to know what other people's experiences have been with cleft lip diagnosis before birth. Can an ultrasound detect a cleft palate or do we have to wait and see? Were you offered genetic testing and did you choose to do it? I'm very much at a loss and would love to hear stories of how others have coped.
