Morning after pill and cycle changes

At 4.5 months PP I got my period back (even with ecological breastfeeding!), and we decided for birth control we would do a combo of charting and condoms.  Since DH is gone a lot for work, its not too hard.  Anyway, he came back, I was ovulating for the first time PP, and oops, no condom, still did the deed.  So, I was freaked out at the thought of becoming pregnant when DS is only 5 months old, and took the morning after pill.  A few days later I get my period!  It was almost 2 weeks early, lasted a full 7 days.  So I thought the pill just messed up my cycle and I would be back on track this month.  But, I'm pretty sure I didnt even ovulate this month, and I have no idea why my body would skip it, then I started spotting a few days ago which has NEVER happened, I have never spotted between periods (except while pregnant).  I thought maybe I was getting my period ahead of schedual again, but the spotting stopped and now I am just waiting for my period which should be coming pretty soon.  So I am just wondering, did the pill mess me up this much?  What can I do to help get my body back on track?  And lastly, I really hope I am not pregnant from that time after which I took the pill :)  I've heard of women having bleeding that they thought was a period in their first trimester, and of course the pill isnt 100% effective....   And I hate to waste a pregnancy test :)

Any thoughts are appreciated!

Let me see if I'm getting the timing right... at about 4 months pp, you ovulated, resulting in a period at 4.5 months pp. About 2? weeks after that, you think you ovulated again, took the pill, and got a period a few days later, about a week and a half early. My guess is that your cycle is a bit off seeing as it's just coming back froma long hiatus AND you're still nursing, as it's very common to have wonky cycles, anovulatory, etc. under these conditions. The bleeding could be breakthrough/anovulatory shedding, or you are working with a short LP... I doubt a true period would come 2 weeks early, but without temps or something to get to the root of the matter, it's hard to know completely what's going on.

Again, the spotting this cycle is, imo, due to hormones from nursing. In other words, I don't think any of this has to do with the pill, but maybe someone else would disagree?

I am pretty sure I did not ovulate before my first PP period.

So here is my dates: March 20 I started my first PP period, it ended on the 25th.  I ovulated on April 5th, had sex, and took the morning after pill April 6th.  Then I got my period again April 10-11th (that night), it ended April 16th, and I havent ovulated since.  I started spotting around April 30th (I forgot to write down what days, but it was for a few days in a row around the 30th).  And just today after we DTD, I had some spotting which is not normal for me.

I never have taken my temps but I usually know when I ovulate by my CM, how I feel, and an estimate by looking at when my period ended.  I'm not experienced at charting.

I have never had irregular cycles.  With my last baby I got my period back at the same time PP, and never any wierd/irregular bleeding or ovulating, it went completely back to normal.

All i can think of to help get my body back on track is red raspberry leaf tea, which Im drinking right now.  Any other suggestions?

TIA!
