Me 3, though it's starting to taper off now.

I've been going on walks a lot lately, and wearing Tavian all the time, and I think my core is getting stronger. I no logner feel heavy in my lower abs, so maybe soon I'll be able to handle some harder work outs?

Me too!!! It's insane! I am craving dairy like crazy (thank goodness LO has no problems with it!), sugar and greasy, junky bad food. I'm ravenously hungry, too...worse ever than pregnancy. I feel like I'm REALLY eating for two lately. I was told especially with my milk supply issues to eat tons of calories...doesn't matter what it is. LOL so I've been giving in to it and eating all kinds of sweet and bad stuff. I can't even think about losing weight or anything now, so I probably won't participate much in this thread. I'm still laying in bed doing nothing but nursing for the majority of every day and I'm so hungry all the time. I must give in to every craving!!!

saudade--how far out are you from birth?  I was SO hungry for the first two weeks, but now i'm about 5 weeks out and it really has eased up.  And oh my goodness the dairy cravings, but LO is definitely sensitive to dairy, so its a no go there... off to get some coconut milk today, hopefully that will satisfy the cravings.

This is so me right now!  And honestly with every baby. I have such a hard time losing weight while nursing.  I think part of it too is emotional eating compounded by the extra hunger of nursing.  A new baby is always such a stressful yet joyful yet stressful thing for me as soon as I have a break all I want to do is eat and its usually things like cookies or sugary cereal or chocolate.  Sigh... Im working on it.

Ohh, I want to join!

5'2"

Prepreg: 128-130

Delivery weight: 168

3 weeks postpartum: 150

With my other two kids I had the hardest time losing weight while nursing. Actually, I never lost it all with DD1 before having DS. Then I piled weight on top of that. THEN it took me 2 years to lose the weight and I didn't start until DS was a little over a year old. I finally lost 60 pounds....then got pregnant again. So, here I am....looking at losing another 20-25 pounds.

I am so ready to start working out. Last time I started with Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred, Burn Fat Boost Metabolism, and No More Trouble Zones. Then I moved on to P90x and Chalean Extreme. I think I am going to try day 1 of the shred next Monday. I will be 4 weeks post and I am tired of not fitting into my jeans. I am so nervous about losing weight while nursing. I waited until DS was over a year old so I wouldn't affect my supply.

Great Idea!

Height: 5' 4"

Pre-Preggo Weight: 138

Max Preggo Weight: 162

Current Weight (3w2d): 149

I have definitely been indulging my sweet tooth since DD's birth, though in small doses. BFing makes me so hungry and an oatmeal cookie seems like the perfect little bite of energy in the middle of the night when I am waking up to nurse her. I'm eating plenty of healthy foods the rest of the time so I'm not fretting it.

Just yesterday I tried doing some crunches since the midwife OK'd me for those and kegels at my 2 week appointment. I would like to do some yoga, but I just haven't found a good time.

I'd like to get back to my pre-preggo weight, but I'm not rushing back to it. It took a while for me with DS seemingly because of the BFing, so I expect it may take a while this time as well. At least I am not as heavy as I was after him, but I started off lighter with DD and gained less overall to boot, so there's that. I was probably 168 around now after DS, so I do feel better about my weight than I did last pp.

This thread is a great motivator!

Height: 5'9

Pre-preg: 147

Delivery: 172

Current: 155

I still had about 10 lbs. left over from my last babe because I was still nursing when I got pregnant with this one. My body always seems to hang onto at least 10 lbs. while I am nursing. It frustrates me that I can't fit into my normal clothes, but I would rather make enough milk and nurse for 2 or more years than have a bigger wardrobe.

So, with that in mind, I guess I have about 10 to lose now, and then about 10 more after I wean.

I too have been having some crazy sugar cravings, so much so that if there is nothing in the house to grab, then I bake something. And who can refuse warm from the oven cookies? Problem is, instead of eating 2 or 3 I maybe eat 10 to 15!!

So now I am staying away from sweets, even sugar in my coffee throughout the week, and save the baking for the weekend. I know I should probably just quit cold turkey but I don't want to. bag.gif

I am also doing an after-baby workout dvd 3X a week and try to go on a few mile long walks a week.

Next week I will be four weeks PP so I will start rebounding daily as well.

pre-preg weight- maybe 130-145 (I don't really weigh myself) Pre-preg size- 10

6 weeks post partum -167- haven't attempted non maternity clothes

I haven't done anything yet, honestly I was surprised this morning to figure out the baby is 6 weeks. I have no plan yet. But I think I will check out C25k and I want to get a post partum dvd workout, and take the littles for walks in the morning before it gets hot.

Anyone in this thread with a c-section? I'm four weeks plus a couple days out and really looking forward to that six week marker...was told zero exercise til then.

today I got 14 minutes into crunch super slim down before Coraline woke up to nurse, just that makes my body feel nicer, plus i have some baby blues so i am hoping chocolate and excercise will help.

Rosie, I had a vaginal birth this time, but with my c-section I was out taking walks with Evie in the wrap at 3 weeks and back to my full yoga practice by 9.

Another brief trip to the gym today, and I think  Ineed to take it easy. I'm feeling "heavy" again, and my knees hate me. Why my knees I have no idea, but they're killing me. Bah!

I am right there with you Laura.

prebaby=170

last day of pregnancy=235

today=205

5'7, would like to get to 160(about a size 8-10). Well, I would like to get to 140, but quite honestly it is far too much work. I only weighed that when I was in the Army and I do not intend to work out that hard ever again!!!

I am 3 weeks out and my bleeding was almost gone until I mowed the grass a couple days ago and it started back. :( I am very antsy to start excersizing. I ,too, have been craving sugar, in a really bad way.

I will weigh on Sundays and post then too. I think some account5ability will help me, even if it is people I likely will never see. I actually feel more of a connection with all of you than most real life moms I know. :P

ok, so i feel like i'm a little more in control now than i have been in a while, so that feels good.  i'm trying not to set my sights too high, so for now, i'm just focusing on eating a little less than i might like, and drinking so much water i think i'm going to float away... exercise is, as of yet, still just a plan...

Thread Starter

I just went horseback riding for the first time in months. It felt really good. I am 4 weeks out today, and I have been a little worried about riding horses and my bike, but it felt just fine.  I am worried that my bleeding will pick up again tomorrow.  But, afterwards, I seriously felt like going for a run or something.  Just getting out and moving made me feel so much better.  If the weather would just cooperate (it was raining and snowing today) I might actually go out more often.  I hated the mirrors in the arena though, because I was forced to look at my big ol' belly. I'm not sure why it's bugging me so much more this time than it has before.  I think it's because summer is coming up and I'd like to look good - but know I probably won't. It would be nice to be out of maternity clothes.

Whoever it was that asked about size vs weight: I am a size 4 at 135 lbs because I have absolutely no butt.  Seriously.  My 'problem area' is my stomach.  It doesn't matter how much I weigh, I always have a tiny bum and chicken legs.  This may not seem like a burden, but it makes keeping pants on hard!  Come on "fat melting off because I'm breastfeeding," I'm ready for you to work your magic on me!

prepreg wt:174
highest preg wt:217
wt at a week and a half:200

i cant imagine restricting calories right now. i'm hungry all the time and concentrating on eating abundant protein, good fats, veg's and fruits (and chocolate!!!) as my body heals. i had a really big tear that is slow to heal so i havent even been walking very much. i had thought that i'd bedoing a lot more by now but am working at accepting that my body needs more rest right now.
