I just got off the massage table. It felt sooooo nice. My friend paid her massage therapist to come work on me for 90 minutes. It was sooooo lovely. My hips feel so much better after he worked on them. Amazing.
I'm getting the looks and comments too. I'm not telling anyone when I'm due, I just go with "any day now", which of course freaks them out, like they think I'm going to squat and drop the kid at their feet or something.
I am having contractions off and on, and have been since yesterday. Nothing really painful yet, and no pattern, but baby is definitely warming up. I told DH last night when he was expressing concern that I would much rather have this off and on for a couple weeks than the 5 straight days of labor I had with DS. No contest. When I put it like that he really couldn't argue.
I am really looking forward to this baby arriving. DS' therapists are eager to start taking walks with him so we can work on safety issues. But I have to go with them (they can't be alone with him), so it has to wait until baby arrives. And with the lovely weather we've been having, it would be so nice to get out more.
I am hoping baby stays put at least until Sunday at this point. We have plans for Saturday - Moms of Multiples is having their annual yard sale on Saturday, we have a sitter lined up so that after the sale we can drop of DS, go get lunch and see a matinee of the Avengers. We haven't been to the theatre in almost 3 years (since I was pg with DS), and we won't have another chance for a while. And we really want to see this movie on the big screen. And a date would be really nice before baby arrives. I guess I need to find a place for lunch. Our usual stop in that city doesn't appeal to DH right now, so we'll have to see what else we can find.
I did a BWing swap with a mama in the city, DH is going to bring home some new carriers tonight for me to check out (she has wraps, I have SSCs). We'll swap back in a week if baby hasn't arrived yet. I PM'd maryam asking if she wanted to come check them out, but haven't heard back from her - hopefully she's enjoying her babymoon. And I bought a carrier with some of the money from my shower, so that will also be here in a few days. I've bought so very little for this little one, so I'm all excited about new stuff.
I should probably go think about lunch. I have to say whoever keeps talking about salad rolls is stimulating a craving. I need to pick up some fresh basil this weekend and a few veggies, and then I'll have what I need to make my own.
