The eight week healthy weight loss challenge - version 3.0 (starting 21/05/21) - Page 6

FillingMyQuiver - congrats on the pg.  Best wishes for a healthy, happy, uneventful 9 months.

Huha - good luck with the tri!!!  I'm doing one in just under 6 weeks.  I really need to get in the pool... wishing I had a friend doing it with me (or really, even family being excited and supporting me).

Congrats to everyone on the weight loss! joy.gif

I'm having a pity party this evening. Pulled a muscle in my leg while out for the 5K+ and calisthenics. Family stuff is causing stress. Work stuff is causing stress. Really not liking my life outside of exercise this week and even that isn't going as well as I would like. Other stuff too.  trying really hard to resist the urge to feed the beast. gloomy.gif  Tomorrow is my suck day - 11 hours of lectures (that I'm NOT prepared for)... so off to try to get stuff done.

down .5 lbs

Sorry for the late post.  Holiday nonsense all day.

Well shit.

I went to Jackson Hole this weekend and had:

bourbon and cheetos (yes! I was with my mom!)

french fries at least twice

tons of bacon

five layer chocolate cake

carrot cake with caramel sauce

a whole bottle of a really nice malbec

several beers

and most of a pizza among other things.

Now I am up a pound at    149

Sorry I'm late.  I'm up to 181.4.

Sorry ! I forgot I didn't give my initial weigh in - that was 145 - now 144 - down one pound only - "yay" holiday weekend!! :(

Checking in late. 188 for the red team.

188.8 red

Sorry I didn't weigh in yesterday! Kid with strep throat. I have many excuses and none of them are patented yet. If you need one, please let me know, and I'll be happy to share one from my arsenal eyesroll.gif.

So I have been walking every day for half an hour. I know it's not much, but it seems to be working. My weight as of this morning is 153.5, so that's a whoppin 1.5 lbs gone. hehe. I am upping the exercise starting this evening.

ETA: Red!

Hi milk, is there room for one more? Sorry I'm kind of late, but I just logged in and saw that the other version of the 8-week challenge run by Teresaesa just fell apart. If I can still join, my weigh in for this week would be 132 lbs. If not, then I'll just wait for the next challenge to start. Thanks!

So, is my scale messed up or what?

I weigh 6 pounds less than I did this time yesterday. My weight always fluctuates a lot it seems, even several pound throughout the day. But six in 24 hours?

How much does your weight fluctuate in the same day, and day to day? (I did just come off a super pigout weekend).

I did a great workout today and feel really good about that. Was at 195 when I checked my weight after that - so down 1 lb for this week so far. Good. Want to be 193 next week and then 190 the week after. My goal is to be in the low 180s.

This has happened to me, although it's not usually such a big difference, and only if it is the difference between Monday morning and Tuesday night, for example.

My weight is usually up to a kilo heavier in the evening than it is in the morning.  Day to day, not usually much if I weigh at the same time every morning.

I think that's fine.

Sorry that I am late weighing in.  Bad threadkeeper!  FML at the moment, LOL.  I'm up a tad, to 170.9, but I'm expecting AF so I will lay the blame there for the time being.

I am off to the gym, as my friend has bullied me into going with her.  Not keen, but maybe next week will be a better number.  Sorry team!

I was 191 then I weighed in at 188 and the chart says I only lost a pound! Must be a mistake......did you say steak? No I said mistake!

Milk- Sorry to crash in here... Is it too late to join? I've been lurking on this thread for months and wanting to join for a while. If so, my starting weight is 192. Highest ever. :-( I really want to start pushing myself at the gym and get rid of this extra weight.

How could I say no to you Coffee?  I think we might have to about call it for new people though.

So I'm back down again this morning, but still no AF.  I am a full week late now, and not pregnant, so really don't know what is going on.  I have never had a cycle beyond 30 days, and I'm at 36 today!  My cycles have been a bit screwy since January, which is when I really started changing my eating and exercising habits.  Has anyone else had changes like this?

Yea! Thanks for letting me join! I will be a good teammate, I promise. For a while I'm just going to work on cleaning up my diet, since I have surgery scheduled tomorrow for a missed miscarriage. After I am recovered I plan to hit the classes at my gym again- I am a big fan of Body Pump (group weights) and Body Step. Again, thank you Milk, I can't wait to meet more of you and start losing some pounds!

Welcome to our newbies, and a HUGE apology to all for my bad math this week (I apparently messed up several people's numbers this week!).  I have corrected the chart (and added our new ladies!), but will wait to repost until next week, mostly because it seems silly to post it more than a couple times per week.

I am traveling for the next 9 days (10 including yesterday) and I will have spotty internet access, so my turnaround time might be a bit lengthier than usual, but I should be able to check in at least every couple of days so it shouldn't effect my thread duties.

I am also really nervous about messing up my progress as it is a bit harder to stay away from the processed food while on the road.  The good news is that so far I have been able to keep up with my workouts.
