Hey, great to see the group up!
Name: Beccy
EDD: January 11th
#Pregnancy/baby: 7/3
Your age/age at the birth: 31/32
Family: DP (40), DD1 (6), DD2 (2 next month), and i guess XP, DD1's biodad. We're not together but he's here all the time, we're definitely family.
How long did it take to get your BFP: One month, normal for me, i always catch first time, but i lose a LOT. This one's looking good though.
Birth plans: 3rd homebirth.
Goals/hopes for this pregnancy: I'd like to NOT end up over 100kg AFTER the birth for once!
Early guesses about baby (gender/birthdate/etc): My mother died on January 14th 2005, so i wouldn't be surprised if it came that day. Also I think it was going to be twins, but it isn't now. I'm not saying i lost one exactly, i'll talk about it more somewhere else...
Anything else!: I'm feeling tense because my midwife is thinking of working back within the NHS (she's independent and was my IM for #2, i had an NHS homebirth with #1) due to financial problems - there just aren't enough women willing to pay for her during this recession. This means i MAY have to figure out a totally different provider during the pregnancy, which i find the idea of stressful (even though one option is her wonderful back up and the other her very respected friend, and if all else fails there is now a fairly decent homebirth team on the NHS where i live). I have super fast labours (#1 was 89mins, #2 was 61 mins) so home is the safest option but not if i can't get a midwife to me within about 30mins....
I'm so grateful this group is up, i am so quiet and withdrawn (VERY unlike me) OH is worried about me. It's just that i find planning helps me feel better and i cannot plan for ANYTHING right now.
