Name: Kristen

EDD: January 24th!

#Pregnancy/baby: 6/6

Your age/age at the birth: 30 now, 30 then!

Family: my amazing DH, 10yo DD, 8yo DS, 6yo DS, 3yo DS, 1yo DD... hopefully chickens, kitten, and puppy soon!!

How long did it take to get your BFP: this was an unexpected BFP but we are overjoyed!

Birth plans: Home birth

Goals/hopes for this pregnancy: I had a very hard pregnancy with my 1yo, so I hope for a better one this time, and I will cherish every moment no matter how tough it gets!

Early guesses about baby (gender/birthdate/etc): I am guessing babe will come right around the due date... gut feeling says boy but then I'm not really good with those feelings ;)

Anything else! Our BFP was faint but I am praying this little one sticks.  We're moving in about a month so I'm trying to plan all of that and now figure out how to put morning sickness into the equation!

welcome everyone!!!

EDD: 1-22 thru 1-24

#Pregnancy/baby: # 3 for me

Your age/age at the birth: 30

How long did it take to get your BFP: we have not been trying. were going to wait a bit

Birth plans: either home or neighborhood freestanding birth center..  had the first two at a birth center and all was well.

Goals/hopes for this pregnancy: for everything to go swimmingly just as the past ones have

Early guesses about baby (gender/birthdate/etc):  i always though i'd have three boys and then a girl so boy...

Anything else!: even though we weren't trying i'm happy to be here.  i'll post my symptoms and whatnot in the what's happening thread. :)

Birth plans: Hospital VBAC with midwives

Goals/hopes for this pregnancy: to do everything possible to avoid a second c-section - and to relax and enjoy what is likely my last pregnancy!

Early guesses about baby (gender/birthdate/etc): I'm feeling a new year's day baby...and a girl.  We'll see!

How long did it take to get your BFPone month

Goals/hopes for this pregnancyhealthy, not too much weight gain

Early guesses about baby (gender/birthdate/etc)I always run past my due date, so I'm guessing the 25th and I have a feeling it's a boy, but I'll be happy with whatever God gives me. :)

NameDorothy

EDDJan 22, by ultrasound

#Pregnancy/baby: 3/2

Your age/age at the birth: 28/29

Family: DH (of 5 yrs) DD 2yo Cat. and now dog.

How long did it take to get your BFPWe weren't trying or avoiding. I was charting my cycles just because they are long and sometimes irregular (This actually would have been a 49+ day cycle if I wasn't pregnant!) This was my 5th cycle after having DD.

Birth plansCNM at hospital like DD or Homebirth with CPM. Still deciding

Goals/hopes for this pregnancyLess weight gain! Selling DH on Homebirth

Early guesses about baby (gender/birthdate/etc)I'm getting girl vibes, have always felt that my body rejects boys.

Anything else!: Well, we were really shocked to conceive on our own. DD was an IVF baby after two painful years of trying.

I am still nursing DD who is 26 months.

I am secretly suspecting twins because my boss is now 8 weeks with twins from IVF and it just doesn't sound enough like a bad movie if I'm not also having twins after infertility. LOL. Ultrasound 6/20 reveals one baby!

Name: Carrie

EDD: (estimated due date) 12/31/12

#Pregnancy/baby: 6th pregnancy, 4th baby

Your age/age at the birth: 34/35

Family: 3 older kids, the 2 oldest are super helpful, youngest is only 4. Husband is also very supportive and helpful, has been proactive in helping me self-treat the HG until we get in to a dr and an get on meds.

How long did it take to get your BFP: (big fat positive, were you trying/how long?) We were preventing, got pregnant, then m/c in March, figured, after the loss, we'd wait till my next cycle to use protection. Got pregnant instead! So here we are. :)

Birth plans: hospital. I prefer home, but since nobody has EVER been able to properly treat me for my HG, except the one ER doc who dx'd it, I'm going with a diff dr and diff mw (the 2 work in the same office) and will be pushing for proper treatment. Trading my preferred homebirth for correct medical treatment of a life threatening condition is worth it. I can't be sick again.

Goals/hopes for this pregnancy: To be properly treated for HG.

Early guesses about baby (gender/birthdate/etc): Really thinking b/g twins. I don't know why, I've never felt that before. Youngest was born at 43w 1d, so going late is a possibility for me, but really unsure either way.

Just wanted to let y'all know that I'm out this go-round. I'm sad, but since this was an oops and we didn't think we wanted kids in the first place - it's all for the best. Now we know that we do want to try, and that is a very good thing to have figured out. :)

Best of luck to you all. Before you know it, you'll be meeting your sweet little baby!

Sorry to hear it snozzberry, but glad that this helped bring some things to light for you. Good luck with the next!

Name: Kerry

EDD: (estimated due date) mid-Jan

#Pregnancy/baby: 3rd pregnancy, our 4th child

Your age/age at the birth: 27

Family: DH, DD (14, adopted) DS1 (9) DS2 (3)

How long did it take to get your BFP: (big fat positive, were you trying/how long?) We were TTC for 5 months and were about to do bloodwork to figure out what was going on with my short cycles, but I got a BFP instead!

Birth plans: Debating between our 2nd midwife assisted homebirth and a birth center run by a HB midwife

Goals/hopes for this pregnancy: Stay more in shape

Early guesses about baby (gender/birthdate/etc): We would love to have a girl but I'm feeling more at peace with the possibility of a boy. We desperately wanted a girl last time and I was convinced it was a girl, only to get a boy, so who knows.. maybe my feeling more at peace with a boy means we'll have a girl.

Anything else!: Still nursing my youngest, who just turned 3, although I plan to wean him at some point before the baby is born.

Name: Fujiko

EDD: Late December or January (unsure, plus I usually go early)

#Pregnancy/baby: 3/3

Your age/age at the birth: 29

Family: Hubby, Me, 5 yo DD and 2 yo DS

How long did it take to get your BFP: First try, hubby is notoriously efficient. ;)

Birth plans: Unsure, my last was a HBAC (waterbirth) but my awesome midwife moved away. :(

Goals/hopes for this pregnancy: No morning sickness and healthy eating!

Early guesses about baby (gender/birthdate/etc): Given my family history, it will probably be a boy (it's always G/B/B)

Anything else!: As of this writing, I am the only one to know! Just found out. Love having this little secret!

Name: Sarah

EDD: January 1st

#Pregnancy/baby: 3/3

Your age/age at the birth: 31/32

Family: DH, Myself, DD age 5, DS age 2, crazy dog

How long did it take to get your BFP: one moment of irresponsible behavior. Wasn't planning or trying. I never wanted a Christmas or New Year's baby. Probably should have though about that when I told DH he didn't need a condom. Lol!

Birth plans: Homebirth with midwife. My DD was born natural in hospital after an induction for Pre-E and DS was born in the shower at home with midwife - Captain Morgan style. lol.gif

Goals/hopes for this pregnancy: Just want to be healthy and stay healthy.

Early guesses about baby (gender/birthdate/etc): No guesses, no idea, no preference. We will be surprised at the birth.

Anything else!: I'm starting out a little bit overweight and it's been a bit discouraging to me. I don't lose a whole lot of weight while nursing and it's been a lifelong struggle for me physically and emotionally. I'm hoping to keep a handle on things and just work with it and know that the payoff is worth it. I'm also still nursing my DS at night. I'm nervous but excited! My daughter is already looking forward to seeing the baby come out. She asks every day how big it is and what is growing now. Love it!

Name: Sarah

EDD: Mid-Jan

#Pregnancy/baby: 3/2

Your age/age at the birth: 33/34

Family: DH, me, DD (3)

How long did it take to get your BFP: one month. We knew we wanted to try following our loss in January, but I didn't expect we'd catch the first egg.

Birth plans: Birth Centre with midwife. In the tub.

Goals/hopes for this pregnancy: Have a healthy full term babe. Avoid all-day sickness.

Early guesses about baby (gender/birthdate/etc): No predictions. No preferences.

Anything else!: So nervous! We haven't told anyone except our midwife and accupuncturist. There are still unresolved issues from our previous loss, where our babe had a serious birth defect that is linked to genetic issues. We are still waiting for autopsy results, but there could be a 25% chance of something terrible happening again. Anyway, that said, I'm happy to be here as we may wait quite some time before telling our family and friends IRL.

Name: Katie

EDD: 1/20

#Pregnancy/baby: 3rd pregnancy, 4th baby

Your age/age at the birth: 32/32

Family: Husband of 8 years, 6-year-old twin boys, 3-year old boy

How long did it take to get your BFP: 3 months of not preventing. Our attitude was, if it happens, great, if not, that's ok. I'm very glad it happened!

Birth plans: My last birth was a dramatic HBAC transfer. The hospital staff treated my midwife and me horribly. My baby was almost 10 lbs and I am a pretty small person. I don't think I could go through that again, but I definitely do not want a scheduled c-section. Ideally (and for someone who tried so desperately for a HBAC last time, this is a sad "ideal"), I'd like to go into labor, then show up at the hospital and ask for a c-section, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to find a midwife and/or MD who will cooperate with me on that.

Goals/hopes for this pregnancy: To figure out a birth plan that allows my baby to stay inside of me until s/he is ready to come out.

Early guesses about baby (gender/birthdate/etc): I'm optimistic for a girl b/c this already feels so different than my first two pregnancies. I usually experience morning sickness very early on, even before I get a BFP, but not this time.

Anything else!: I haven't told anyone yet, not even my husband! I know he will be thrilled (he wanted this even more than I did), but I am trying to think of a clever way to break the news.

Name:  Aviva

EDD:  None yet

#Pregnancy/baby:  5/3

Your age/age at the birth: 29

Family:  DS is 5, DD is 4

How long did it take to get your BFP:  let's just say way too long

Birth plans:  We just moved to a state where homebirth is not exactly legal so we'll see.  I'm NOT a good hospital candidate...

Goals/hopes for this pregnancy:  I have gotten hyperemesis with all my previous pregnancies except the last one - but the last one was a late miscarriage.  I'm nervous about this one sticking around, but I really hope it will.  And that I won't be too sick.  And that I don't get too much PTL again.  And, and, and. :)

Early guesses about baby (gender/birthdate/etc): None... except that I know I probably won't make it to 40 weeks.  DS was 37+1, DD was 36 weeks.

Anything else!  I'm trying really hard not to get my hopes up that it will "stick" since it is so early on... but I am so excited anyway. :)

Name:  Hope

EDD:  January 7

#Pregnancy/baby:  2/2

Your age/age at the birth: 32/32

Family:  DH, DD (2)

How long did it take to get your BFP:  haven't prevented since DD was born, but PPAF didn't come back until about 14 months ago.  Stopped nursing 3 months ago and did IVF.

Birth plans:  AT the hospital

Goals/hopes for this pregnancy:  Try to stay in shape, hope for no threatened PTL and bedrest.

Early guesses about baby (gender/birthdate/etc):  No idea, won't find out.  But whatever I start to suspect later in pregnancy, it will probably end up the opposite!

Anything else!  First baby was overdue and had a long labor.  Kind of expecting the same this time around.  Trying to not worry about early loss since we struggle with severe MFI and can only get pregnant through IVF.

Name: Steph

EDD: Jan 24, 2013

#Pregnancy/baby: 11th pregnancy - 9th baby

Your age/age at the birth: 36/37

Family: Large

How long did it take to get your BFP: Just a few seconds after I randomly POAS.

Birth plans: UC waterbirth

Goals/hopes for this pregnancy: Unsure yet. Possibly nurse through pregnancy and tandem nurse.

Early guesses about baby (gender/birthdate/etc): Hoping for a boy.

Anything else!: I got to pee now.

I thought it would be fun to keep a more organised, easy to reference list with our EDD, baby # and later the sex (or not) or our LO and birth dates. Feel free to check it and let me know if I made a mistake, somehow left you off or if you think there's something else to add. I'll do my best to keep it current! Please continue to post a more detailed into here.
