TMI question

is anyone else having very "loose" poos? all the pregnancy books have ideas for how to deal with constipation, but nothing about the other end of the spectrum. i would kill for some constipation right now. i don't get why it's happening, either, because by my diet right now i should be constipated. all that my morning sick tummy is letting me eat is bread and red meat. any pregnancy safe remedies?

Yup. I'm calling it my opposite end morning sickness:/ It's pretty bad here. I'm not used to it either. I've tried the BRAT diet but it doesn't seem to do much good.

Wow.  You read my mind!  I did not have this issue with my first two pregnancies and was just wondering tonight if this is normal?  It sounds like there are a few of us experiencing it, so it must be.  I haven't found any remedies yet, but I will keep trying and researching to keep you all posted of anything helpful.  I finally took some TUMS tonight to see if that might slow things down a bit and give me some relief from the horrible sour stomach.  I'll let you know the outcome!

Yup. No constipation, quite the opposite some days. At least I haven't had any vomiting, I guess? I'm actually terrified of throwing, especially because it tends to be pretty violent, loud, and painful for me, and I'm really afraid of it happening at work. At least if I've gotta poop, I can run to the unused bathroom on the first floor.

I've had a few looser ones, but I am very much generally prone to constipation right now.  Which is what is normal during the beginning etc.  Our entire digestive tract slows down to absorb more nutrients for baby.

When I was having issues I found it was more or less due to what I was eating.  I wonder if a probiotic might help some of you get more back in balance?

Right now I'm struggling to get in foods that are going to be 'softer'....I had a really tough time a few days ago and have been bleeding the last two movements.  I am also increasing my water intake as hopefully that's going to help as well!

I've had this problem as well!  I can't believe other people are experiencing this too because I've never heard of this (I guess not something many would talk about ha!)  My last two pregnancies I was always constipated, so this is unusual for me.

I have always had this problem in my pregnancies. I laugh at the constipation warning, knowing it won't happen to me. Actually, it does, but much later in the pregnancy.

This. Probiotics are AMAZING (at least for me) in term of keeping my system moving in a healthy way, I find when I take my probiotics and drink enough water I am good to go. HTH!

i take probiotics but they don't seem to do much. i have a ridiculously sensitive digestive tract....not so much sensitive to what i eat as to being jostled at all. i had this problem in my first pregnancy, but only the last month when baby was crushing my intestines. maybe that's the problem right now and once my uterus moves out of my pelvis i'll get a break till close to the end.
