Just got back last night from 4 days (and nights) away from DS for work. As he's 21 mos (almost 22 mos) old and only nursing 2 (and on weekends 3) times per day I was concerned he might wean with me away or that I'd lose my milk supply. I am happy to report that he was uber excited to have mamma moot (as he calls it) when I got home last night. He was giggling with glee when it was time for cuddles and milk before bed and my heart melted to finally back where I most want to be.
I did bring my pump and pumped the first three nights I was away (barely getting any milk, likely because I haven't pumped in almost a year) and did hand express the first two nights as well.
Just wanted to share my experience and let moms know that it can be done if you want or have to go away!
Next challenge will likely be nursing while pregnant as we get ready to TTC #2...the adventure continues!
