Moving into the 2nd Trimester! Yippee! « Back to Group Discussions

Everyone - I am so excited & relieved! Today, I'm 12 weeks and heard the little heartbeat on my doppler this morning!

Last fall, I miscarried, and I've been so anxious this pregnancy. But I made this far! Yay!

I'm feeling better, more energy and rarely nauseous. This is great. I can't wait to feel the LO move. Since it's my first baby, it might be a while... Hearing the moms that have had other babes share that they've felt babies at 12-14 weeks, makes me hopeful that I might be able to feel it if I try hard... or not...

I'll post a belly photo later this week, it's small, but I had to purchase maternity clothes last week.

Anyone else moving into the 2nd trimester?

Not quite yet, I'm 10w4d today, but it does feel like its right around the corner.  More importantly, good for you!  I could feel your happiness through your post.  Hearing your baby's heartbeat is so wonderful.  I didn't feel my first baby move until 20 weeks, but I also had no idea what I was waiting to feel.  I suspect I felt her earlier, but thought it was gas bubbles :).  Good luck, I'm sure you'll feel your LO soon!

Congratulations! 

I'll be 12 weeks on Sunday. And I got so nervous today about my symptoms disappearing that I called the doctor. I have an appointment next Tuesday, but from what I've read online many women report an immediate dropoff in their symptoms at the end of the first trimester. With my other kids, I was sick straight through 14 weeks or more, so this is uncharted territory...lol.

I am only 3 weeks away from ticking over in second trimester. It doesn't feel like long tho! Have seen the heartbeat twice now :) Cant wait to join you in T2!!!!

Congrats...I'm a long ways away from it as I'm due at the end of December.  I think I'm something like 7w4d here!  Must be great to hear the heartbeat.  I'm looking forward to that here!

Yay, congrats to you! I know I'm really looking forward to crossing that milestone. I'm 8w2d and it feels like even 9 weeks can't come soon enough. I really really am wanting to see or hear the heartbeat soon, not sure how much longer I can take it!

Zebrachick - I have definitely felt a drop off of my symptoms the last few weeks. My breasts are still totally sore. My midwife said to me last week - that is a big give away if youre breasts are sore then things are probably going well  - that being said my cousin's wife called me frantic when she was just over 10 wks and her breasts stopped being sore and everything turned out fine for her pregnancy!

The rest of you, I know how excruciating the waiting is! Really, the 2nd trimester will come before you know it!

i am!  ultrasound this morning showed the babe measuring 11w6d, so that has me hitting 12 weeks tomorrow!!  

i've been feeling awful and am hoping things improve soon.  with my last pregnancy i was sick, sick, sick until week 26, so i'm really hoping this time is better.  ugh.

Almost there! Coming up on 12 weeks... and I'm looking for a cute way to announce the pregnancy on FB! I still feel exhausted and get waves of nausea, but I'm really hoping that will end in the next week or so.

12w today! Appt weds, can't wait! Sometimes after eating if sitting upright I can feel weird little flutters. I know it's probably just gas but imagining a wiggling babe is so exciting anyway! and I have now brushed my teeth 2x without gagging. Lol. Yay for the 2nd trimester! And yes my boobs are noticeably less sore too.

I was12 weeks on Monday, and for over a week now I've felt this baby move. I know it's super early but it's unmistakable. I love it! Such a strong little thing!!

I'm so jealous that you're feeling your babe! I keep thinking maybe I'm feeling, but not so sure. Since this is my first, it's really hard to say... My uterus is definitely getting bigger!

Lulubikes, my initial due date was 12/2 but the size of the baby made my doc change the due date to 11/30 so you and  i can have our first baby around the same time! Just like you i miscarried end of August last year and then had another miscarriage early December, so with ths baby  have been cautiously excited and anxious. I hit twelve weeks ths past Sunday.  I have a small bump, but all clothes still fit fine. Not been nauseous, but still have an aversion to meat and fish. Typing those two words make me want to gag.

I am so ready to hit week 14! Thas when  i will announce to the larger circle of friends and family. We have been married for two years, and  i am sick and tired of answering the question WHEN? People can be so annoyingly curious!

Yay!  Congrats on getting to the second trimester! :)  I always feel so relieved to hit that milestone!!

I will be 12 weeks on Thursday!  Hard to believe its happening so fast!!!

12 weeks today!!! 

This morning the scale said I had gained about 3.5 pounds. I don't usually gain in the first trimester. I'm sure this is in the normal range...it just isn't normal for me. 

I am so glad to have made it into the second trimester before the heat and humidity really sets in!

12 weeks today!!! Started to really feel preggo in the last few days...waistline noticably wider and I think I went 2 sizes up in my bra!!!
Feeling good overall and looking forward to feeling the babe move :-)

Jackie -

I know how you feel! I started hanging out in the November DDC and moved to the December DDC because I was so far behind and I really think I'll have my baby in December anyway.

My husband said last night I really look pregnant now :) So sweet! I haven't posted a belly photo in a few weeks. I'll do that this weekend I think.

I'm right there with you!  I think I'm 9w 4d I believe...and it still feels a way off.  Especially as I always thought the second trimester started at 13 weeks?  LOL
