I am old, old, old and DH is old, old, old and I am so glad we've chosen to do CVS with our last two pregnancies. We go to an amazing expert  (Dr. John Williams, Cedars) with an extremely low complication rate and I've never had so much as a twinge after the fact.

It is so nice to simply rejoice in being pregnant without AMA-worries hanging over my head. and not wait for a trickle of not very exact results to come in. And it really helps me be peace with chosing a homebirth. I am so grateful the technology exists.

I am so glad to read this! I am just about to start a thread on my situation...being old. LOL!

What city are you in?  I had my CVS performed by a great doctor and it was still a nightmare.  *sigh*  I am thinking I need to get one with this pregnancy and am willing to travel for the right doctor.  My last one was done in NYC with RMA.

I had mine done with Dr. Evans in NYC.  Not a good experience.  He is one of the pioneers of the procedure.  (I think that was his name)
