Congrats baby Mila and Enso! This is so exciting. One of my favorite things lately is looking on this board to see what new little ones have arrived.
Countrymouse -- you almost gave birth on your due date :)

So many new souls, it is so wonderful.
On June 4th baby Benjamin was born. 8lbs 6oz. I had PROM and needed to be induced so our homebirth didn't happen, but I had a good team at the hospital and baby Ben came quite quickly in the end. We are settling in nicely. He nurses wonderfully and is putting on lots of chub. here he is with his thrilled big brother.
Baby Enso in the birth tub, moments after he was born. I look quite dazed as the labor was so fast that I was in shock that I already had the baby in my arms. My daughter had a front row seat, saw the whole thing and she thought it was amazing. We had watched the birth videos that people on this thread recommended, so she knew what to expect. He had his cord wrapped around his neck twice and his shoulder was stuck and he was 9 lbs but since he was under water I only had a tiny tear. It was probably harder for the midwife to undo the cord and work the shoulder at the angle she was at, kneeling over the side of the big birthing tub. The transition from one water environment to another was easier on the baby though. He was very purple when he was born but very quickly turned pink. He started shivering quickly after this picture was taken so we got out of the water and we were both wrapped in heated blankets. It was an amazing birth. Very healing birth for myself and my family after a miscarriage last summer and a really difficult pregnancy. But it was all worth it!
