38 Weeks Today

Today is 38 weeks for me and I can admit it, I would like to just get on with the baby-having already. June seems so far away.

I've been having lots of the Braxton-Hicks "toning" contractions today and I'm trying to not get my hopes up that it'll turn into something. The other kids were all at least 39 weeks when they were born, so I'm not thinking that I'll have this baby before next week, but I would like to.

IFYP! My only solace is that I really do get more sleep with the baby on the inside. Um...that's the only pro I've got. :P

Broody- your so close!  I am starting to get excited here.  Please stick around after the LO is born (if you can muster up the time.  It is really fun to read your enthusiastic and dynamic posts.  We want to hear your birth story and would miss you in this Due Date group.

I'm 38 weeks also. I feel torn between wanting to meet the baby ASAP and not being ready. I feel like I still have so much to do, and my first did not come until 40w+5d and acupuncture so I keep thinking I have a few weeks left. Good luck to everyone and look forward to hearing good news soon!

I'm 37+5 and am also really torn.  I think we need one more week to get a few more things ready then I will feel as ready as I can be and just want the baby to come!

Oh of COURSE I'm sticking around...everyone else is, too, right?? I will be putting my story together soon after my birth again. I learned with my first birth that waiting doesn't work....ahem. I never actually wrote my daughters birth story!! Hahahha. My son's I did SOON after his birth and his is long (surprise!) and I really liked it because I didn't leave out any details. So I'm going to try to do the same for this baby.

I can't wait til all of our belly/pregnancy/labor related posts start turning into baby wearing/sleeping/feeding/nursing/etc posts!! YAY! We're going to have BABIES!

Baby was 38 weeks yesterday and decided to make me uncomfortable with contractions.  Over night it got to the point that I had mild to moderate contractions every 2-3 minutes for an hour.  We went to labor and delivery but I was only 1 cm.  I went to the OB around 8am this morning and was still at 1 cm.  I am still having contractions every 2-10 minutes so I'm hoping they either increase or go away until the baby is ready to come because this is tiring.  With my son, my early contractions would mostly go away when I laid down, not so with this one.

Just 36 weeks here. :)

I've been feeling that our LO will come early--possibly next week, and had one night recently when I thought labor might be starting. After a few sips of wine I realized I was just overtired! Anyway, I feel like I need the rest of the week to prepare things....

Thinking good thoughts for everyone, as we are getting very close!

Last time I was in a DDC (I think the my 8yo dd), I hung around for at least six months after she was born.

I'm just being whiny, but my SPD is killing me.
