I'm just curious how many poops a day YOUR LO has? We are still having trouble gaining weight and it seems like Lennon went from having MANY smaller poops a day to having one or two HUGE poops a day...and she hasn't pooped yet today. So now I'm worried. Anyone else have a once-a-day pooper?

At our one month appointment our pediatrician warned us that we may see a big change in poop patterns very soon after. She said its not uncommon for babies to go from many to even skipping days.

Odin reduced his frequency and also method. He no longer poops while asleep at all.

Both my babies stopped pooping at night or during sleep very early (way before 4 weeks) and stopped peeing at night very early also (by 6 weeks). in fact, DD never peed at night from 6 weeks on unless she was going through a major growth spurt as an older child. Both had/have a really wet diaper or many smaller wet diapers frequently shortly after waking. Both have also been infrequent poopers from the get go, they hold it for days in the early weeks and grow like crazy then have a few hours of clearing it all out (it's never constipated/dry/difficult). That for my older one transitioned into not pooping for a week or even two weeks at a time in the ~3-6 month period, she grew like a weed!! I don't think it's always so extreme but I have met other moms whose babies were similar. Currently this baby will go about 5-7 days between serious poops, but she's comfortable. She's not even gassy until right before she blows!

Wow Rasa-- that's interesting.  This is my first baby and I'm learning a lot.  My baby sounds like she may be getting into a pattern like your kiddos.  I'm glad to read your post because it was starting to make me nervous.  She doesn't pee or poo much at night at all.  Or in the early morning and then she tends to do 3-5 blow outs late in the day.  But, there were some days where she didn't go much and grew.  The other day she pooed so many times in one day that it freaked me out and her growth slowed down!  So weird.

Saudade~  My baby does that sometimes.  She will normally have 3-5 blowouts a day.  But, sometimes less in greater amounts!

Lennon saved it up by skipping a day and had 2 big blow outs this afternoon! Massive! LOL

Rowan skips days all the time.  He once went FIVE days, and we were blowing up the doc's phone to make sure he was ok.  Doc said that as long as he was gaining weight, making wet diapers, and not having a distended belly, he was fine.  He's now an almost every other day pooper, usually in the early mornings.  I have to be honest and say that, as long as we have a healthy baby, I don't mind fewer blowouts!
