My 6 month old son (intact of course!) has had a fever with no other symptoms for about 56hrs now. It was a low fever, about 100.4, for the first few days, but today it was measured at 103 at the Public health office, and I got 102 here at home. He still has no other symptoms, is very crabby, no ear infection, etc. I have an appt with a pediatrician tomorrow morning, and one thing they are going to do is check for a UTI, so I am wondering what to do if he does have a UTI? Besides antibiotics, cant I treat it another way? They also mentioned the possibility of hand, foot and mouth disease. Does anyone know anything about that, or how to treat it without meds?
Thanks!
And yes, I will be sure to tell her NOT to retract my sons forskin at all!
