wow i can't believe how behind i am!

Aura, YAH! What an amazing report. i can't wait to hear the future reports and i bet you're going to have some beautiful embies for your 5 day transfer! It'll be here before you know it. :oD

Blue, sniff for Abby. And double sniff for you and DH! i hope she feels better soon and that you two don't get TOO exhausted keeping her occupied.

Teresa, my heart breaks for you. I was hoping when i signed in today that the news would be great. I'm so sorry. Although I would love it if Deport's experiences were consistent with yours. whatever you do, we're here for you and thinking of you. Big hugs.

Everyone else, hi! Let's get some BFPs!

I don't really understand this comment about you would love her experiences to be consistent with mine?

Deportivo- I was confused by that too. I think maybe she means, she would hope for a better pregnancy in the future? AFM- Scheduled my appointment with the RE for 8/16 and promptly started crying.

Renavoo!  How are Colin and Sienna?  I'm lurking in the graduates thread but I really must demand more photos.  I bet those babies are keeping you mighty busy!  I just think back to last year when you were doing your cycle and how excited I was for your bfp.  And Belly's!  I think this board needs a whole bunch of bfps.  We're sorely lacking this thread.

Woke up in the middle of the night with intense abdominal pain.  Almost went to ER but decided that a heating pad and tylenol would do the job.  I am SO BLOATED.  I am really over being bloated.  Fortunately my weight is staying steady (8 lbs up since trigger) and not rising any more (I'm actually 2lb down since retrieval) but it's not moving much more.  I need to see some change.  Or at least some comfort.

Tomorrow is my embryo report and I'm starting to get nervous.

Aura- Good luck tomorrow and I hope you feel better soon.

Thank you Deborah!!!

You are welcome. I think we are all a little nervous before procedures. Do you have any meditation tapes or anything you can take advantage of before tomorrow? I know I plan to use one when I go in for mine in a couple of months.

21 eggs retrieved. I'm at home now. In quite a but if pain. Was given Demerol. Has anyone else woke up during the procedure? I did and I was in so much pain.

Aura - any word???????? Just thinking of you and hoping the bloat is going down!!!!  When is your ET??

Nesse - Wow, great number.   That is awesome!!!!  My first IVF DH said that i was moaning in pain during the ER and then they gave me more versed and I stopped, but I don't remember any of it.  The 2nd ER I had, I remember waking up in the middle and being in pain and I remember all of that.  So then the 3 ER we did I told them to give me extra after the 2nd experience and that one was better.  Here is hoping that you don't even have to have a 2nd one and this will be your BFP!!  I took tylenol when I got home from most of them just to help w/ the soreness.  Did they tell you what time they would call you w/ a fert. report tomorrow?  I forget... are you doing a 3 or 5 day ET??????  Take care and sending your embies lots of positive vibes...goodvibes.gif

Nese! Congrats on 21 eggs!! I'm sorry you're feeling sore, I'm always amazed how some people can just pop up afterwards because I always feel like I got hit by a truck.  They gave me some sort of narcotic after as well for pain because I was really uncomfortable.  I've never woken up mid retrieval, that's so weird!  I guess they are scared to put you under too deeply, but did they immediately knock you back out?  That's crazy!  Drink some gatorade, definitely take tylenol every 4 hours, and make sure you get some fiber.  I now think the worst of my pain was constipation from the anesthesia and narcotics they gave me, along with the progesterone you'll start taking.  Feeling so much better now after taking colace.  Not sexy, but effective!  I can't wait to hear about your fert report!

Okay ladies.  Here's the breakdown.

24 still growing!!!!

1 8 cell grade 1
4 8 cell grade 2
1 7 cell grade 1
7 7 cell grade 2
1 7 cell grade 3
2 6 cell grade 2
2 6 cell grade 3
2 5 cell grade 2
4 5 cell grade 3

SIRM grades them 1= excellent, 2= average, 3= pretty poor.  The nurse stated that the most babies come from grade 2 embryos.  When she gave me the news I was shaking!  She started with the worst ones first, so I was hyperventilating because I thought poor quality five cell embryos were all we had, but she just kept going, and going! I am trying to remember that anything could happen before Friday.  For all I know, they could all arrest tomorrow.  But this is the best we've ever had.  In my last two ivf cycles the best embryos we transferred were equivalent to our WORST this cycle.  I'm scheduled for 2pm on Friday if everything stays on the same course.  I'll do acupuncture in the morning and then meet my husband in the city so he can drive me home when it's done.  It's going to be the longest drive ever! I think I'm planning bedrest for Friday and Saturday, although Dr T said Saturday could have some light activity.  I'm just really grateful that we've made it past our first hurdle.

Great news on the eggs/embies Nese and Aura! I had trouble with my first ER b/c my blood sugar was really low and Versed and I don't mix. I had some pain after the ER too, but they gave me Percs, so I was fine. Most of my pain was in my throat due to them having had to intubate me.
