Yay! Chitchat! How did I miss this thread?
I am in the same boat as most of you mamas, I am 16 1/2 weeks and I look waaay pregnant, but my belly is kinda jiggly, so I feel like I may just look slobby and gross and not pregnant.
The baby totally squirmed around the other day while I was sitting at the dining table.
For the last few weeks I have been able to poke around my belly and the baby will push back, but that doesn't really count as feeling the baby move.
A girlfriend who just had a baby last month gave me a huge bag of maternity clothes. We have similar bodies and style so I was able to find a lot of cute stuff I can wear for the next 5 months. I passed the rest of it on to another girlfriend who has two pregnant friends.
Although we started out this pregnancy with UP/UC plans, my instinct was telling me that I needed to find a really good, hands off midwife. We interviewed several and found a pair of really awesome midwives! That's saying a lot because as a midwifery student and a mother, I have interviewed and worked with a ton of midwives. They both loved that we have had UC's and they are both super cool with how we want to do things. I was very, very anxious about a midwife disrupting what my husband and I have built together with our other births. But I am not worried about that AT ALL with these lovely ladies.
I have been going through my diaper stash and realized I could make a few hundred selling what I won't be using this time on ebay. I have my listings all ready to go, I just need to take some pictures, which I totally suck at. I need the cash though so I can put it towards the AIO's I need.
In non-pregnancy news, we have working on tails off to get our garden in this week.
We just bought this house in November and on top of the extensive renovations we are working on, we have 3 trees we needed to remove and a huge area to be prepped for seasonal gardening, perennial beds, herb beds and fruit trees. So we got the plowing done and last night we finished planting 20 tomatoes, 36 honeydews, 12 cantaloupes, 12 watermelons, 12 corn, 6 kale, 4 tomatillo, 6 ground cherry, 6 hot peppers, 12 sweet peppers. I still have artichoke, strawberry, greens, corn, peas, beans, cucumbers, carrots, radishes, giant sunflower, sunberry, jelly melon (and some other stuff I am sure forgetting at this point) that all need to go in the ground by the end of the weekend.
