thinking about a uc - Page 2

You're not *required* to do anything. A great way to learn a lot about UC is to read old threads here as well as birth stories. Many women will hire a MW and ask them to stay in another room or just not call til the very end so they can come and check you & baby out. Many blessings!

Also, do you have to take your baby to the doctor within a certain period of time for a newborn checkup after an UC?  I have been thinking more and more about homebirth and UC and want to have  my future baby at home, but don't want the labor or birth to be distrupted by a midwife bugging me all the time checking me and stuff like that.  I would rather lay in the bathtub or sit on a birthing stool for labor and birth.  My boyfriend is behind me 100% in whatever I choose, but we both have some questions and concerns regarding all of this, but can't find a whole lot of resources on the subject of homebirth and UC.
