hospital bag? - Page 2

Don't forget money.  Vending machines, cafeteria, restaurants, gift shop...I had McDonald's delivered. LOL

Life has been so busy, I haven't even given this much thought yet.  I'm determined that the kids (8, 12, and 15) will have a fun summer, so baby planning has kind of taken a back seat.  Off the top of my head, my goal is to go with as little as possible and then ask for things as I need them.  I am having a (less than desired) scheduled c-section, so I know I won't be moving around much while I'm in the hospital and plan to use the lovely hospital gowns until I leave.  I will pack:

For the baby:

Blanket and hat my sister is making

Special coming home outfit

For me:

Comfy outfit to wear home

Several sets of socks, both fuzzy and warm and ankle socks I like to sleep in at home

Toothbrush, hair ties, moisturizer, etc.

General use:

Change for vending machines for my husband

Gifts for the big kids

Phone & charger

Laptop (tech stuff will probably come and go with husband and I don't know that I'll actually use it)

Now I have to figure out what the "gifts" for the big kids will be.  When I had Katie, Jill was 2.5 and I gave her a doctor's kit.  It was SO much easier when they were little... now I'm thinking Legos and Dr. Who stuff :)

Here's an awesome hospital bag post from Pregnant Chicken.  Love it.

That's a great link.  It made me snort out loud a couple of times, which earned a dirty look from my coworker. orngbiggrin.gif
