My son was born "partially naturally circumsized" as the doctors have told me. The top has fireskin that he can possibly grow into , but the bottom has none at all. I dont understand how or why it happened. or where to even look about it. we have to travel 3hrs away every 2 months to get it checked up on. wtff

It sounds to me that your son has a "hooded" foreskin. This usualy occurs in conjunction with hypospadias - where the urethral opening is not located at the tip of the penis, but further down, or even somewhere along the underside of the penis. Obviously he is fortunate not to have been blessed with that complication. I am very puzzled as to why you are having to go back for a check up every 2 months. What is the doctor checking for? For the record, if your son does indeed have a hooded foreskin, I have read that there has been some success in closing it up to resemble a normal foreskin. Sorry, I have no references to hand, but you should be able to learn more by googling "hooded foreskin".
Good luck.

It is a type of genital birth anomaly, try googling hypospadius &/or hooded foreskin. It dosnt need correcting unless the urethra is on the shaft and even then some parents choose to let their ds decide to have it done later in life rather than fixing it in infancy/childhood.
I cant imagine why you would need to take him back to the Dr so much. I personally wouldnt be going back so much over it.post #4 of 45/31/12 at 12:22pm- Frankly Speaking

This is called Hypospadias. It is a rare anomalie occuring in about 1 in 10,000 births. It is thought to be caused by estrogen in the water supply. The source of the estrogen is thought to be cattle and pig farms up stream from the municipal water intake and the estrogen from the animal's urine. In reality, the reason is not known for sure but "outbreaks" have been noticed in areas that meet the suspected cause.
Your son is not "naturally circumcised." That is another condition called "aposthia."
