fussy 11 month old..

My dd had roseola last week. First she was running a low fever, and I thought she was teething (she has 6 teeth, and nothing in the last 2 months). Sure enough, there's a tooth coming out. Then she had high fever (40C) for 3 days and rashes for 3 days. The rashes are pretty much gone now, but she's still very clingy and fussy. And she's also learned to shriek whenever she wants something. I can't tell what she wants or what I should do? I nurse her as often as she wants to (all the time), and wear her for hours a day because she always wants to be carried. She starts crying the second I put her down. Sometimes I think she's crying because she's hungry, but she refuses most solids. This fussiness is new... she's always been a pretty easy baby.

I wonder if the virus still hasn't cleared out and she either doesn't feel well or she's trying to get more of what she needs (in terms of immunities) from your breastmilk? I can remember my babies going through phases like that, particularly when teething or 'about' to go through a big developmental shift. It feels like it will never end, but then suddenly you realize a day has gone by without the all day fussiness. Hang in there!
