Thanks, Pokey, for the new thread.

And, thanks Wishin for the great Minneapolis tips! I'm getting excited about our trip. I love extending wedding trips to make mini-vacations.:)

Angela--If you are getting cold sweats earlier than you normally would in your 2WW, that is a good sign! The last time I was pregnant I got them and was certain that AF was right around the corner...but then realized that I was getting the sweats a few days early. Good luck!

I second the thanks to Pokey!

And can I be added under Waiting to O?

After lurking for the better part of a year, I joined up here a couple months back but then suddenly got all nervous about my upcoming entry into the world of TTC and stopped reading the forums.  But now I feel ready!

So, hello. My name is Granite, my DP and I live in a small city on the west coast of Canada, and we're about to try to make our first kid. I'm 30 years old and will be carrying, and our current plan is to try at a clinic with donor sperm from a bank. I've got a long history of irregular and anovulatory cycles, but it seems to be almost completely regulated after 6 months of herbs, vitamins, and acupuncture. I guess I'll know soon enough: We've got our intake appointment at the local fertility centre on June 14th, which feels SO SOON!

Am looking forward to getting to know you all... Here's to a lucky month! jammin.gif

Welcome.gif Granite!  We look forward to getting to know you better.  I hope we can make you feel less nervous and not more nervous about this process.  I understand how crazy-making it can be.  Hope your stay is short and sweet!

Thanks for the shiny new thread Pokey! Also, can I be moved to waiting to know? Thanks!

Welcome Granite!

Hi Lise! Nice to see you around these parts - how are things?

Angela - hope the night sweats are a positive sign of things to come!

I deleted some folks who I don't remember posting in the last 4 months.  If I removed you and you shouldn't have been removed, please let me know.  Thank you.

DWs beta hcg is tomorrow (11/12dpo, which seems early to me).  She tested yesterday and it was a bfn...but that would only have been 10/11dpo.  So, I am still holding out hope.  I HATE that we have a blood test to find out...don't know why, but I do.

Wishin, good luck tomorrow! But also, if you guys don't want to do the test, just don't do it. I mean, you don't HAVE to, especially if you're paying out of pocket for this stuff. Just call them, say you can't come in, and reschedule for Monday. Either way, fingers crossed!

AFM, I'm a glutton for punishment and I POAS tonight at 8 dpo, after googling "bfp @ 10 dpo." Not surprisingly it was a BFN. I still feel crampy, like AF is about to show up. Blah. I'm done with this already.

Angela, early cramping is a REALLY positive sign! Did you have it with your bfns?

I hope this it for you!

I've been SO busy....life is kicking my butt lately in terms of commitments and responsibilities. My poor DD even misses me greensad.gif
5dpo....nothing exciting to report!
Welcome, granite!!! I'm also a wet-coaster, as is Carmen (and Anna who is currently on a break, and Sterling who participates mostly on then QPP board). Which clinic are you using? We've just started our foray into the clinic aspect of it, my DW is scheduled for her HSG next week at UBC (apparently one of the best places to get it done). We're using Genesis because friends used me and really liked them. Good luck!!

Carmen, the only time I've had cramping that starts at 6dpo is the cycle I got pregnant with DD. But, I just feel like I can't get my hopes up, since the past two cycles I've been CONVINCED that I was pregnant, and wasn't. God, I hate this part.

Thanks for the warm welcome, all!
Darth, I'm actually over in Vic, on the Island, where there's only one clinic... So, no choice. But I've heard good things about the doctor, and at least it's in town. TTC is complicated enough without adding in the hassle of long drives (and even more time off work).

Hey everyone, and welcome Granite! I had my cd 10 bloodwork this morning after fighting 90 minutes of rush hour to get there. But the good thing was, they said my values from CD 3 were normal. I was nervous in the waiting room because when I came in, the receptionist called to the back by phone and said I was there, and then she very somberly said, "No one called her," like everyone knew I was getting bad news. My midwife was supposed to call the day before and didn't. Whew. Anyway, I've finished the Clomid with no problems. (This is my first cycle taking it.) So, my opk time of the month begins.Good luck to everyone who is in the TWW or trying this month!

Good luck, Outdoorsy! Are you doing an ultrasound and trigger shot as well? Glad your first cycle on clomid went well!

9 dpo and a BFN. This is the day I got a BFP with DD. greensad.gif
