Is there a thread anywhere that has a ton of info on things needed in preparation for birth?
I am having a hard time navigating around.

Are you looking for technical info (i.e. what to have on hand), or emotional, or how to find a midwife? Perhaps someone can point you in the right direction with some guidance!
