We're now pretty firm on Alexander for a boy (DH is now calling my belly Alex because he's positive it's a boy), and it's looking like it'll probably be Naomi if it's a girl.

Not nearly as unusual as I expected to name my first child, but maybe we'll go buck wild with the middle names;)

Suddenly, out of nowhere, we think we've settled on both a girl AND a boy name.

If baby is a girl, she will be either Chloe Rose or (more likely) Chloe Ursula. Ursula isn't our favorite, but it is after a dear dear friend of ours- a nun in Uganda! :)

If baby is a boy, he will be Everett Michael. Michael after the priest we've known our whole lives, since grade school, who also married us. :)

It feels good to have names that feel right!

Thank you so much. Mister has vetoed Oona because it sounds too much like Fionnuala which we hear as Fin-ooooooooo-la screamed by her sister 20x a day. I don't think we could handle Fin-oooooooo-la and Oooooooooo-na being screamed all day long. : )

I found a boy name that I love: Lochlan which means Viking and is generally given to boys with fair or red hair. If you saw my husband, you would realize this is perfect. We have always joked that my husband is meant to be out marauding the Irish shores and isn't cut out for hot weather. I think for this baby though I'm going to wait to make a short list for both genders and wait to meet the baby. I love the name Orla but it means golden princess (the princess bit makes me gag) and so it might not work if the hair colour is dark (like everyone on my side of the family).

Is anyone else waiting to meet the baby?

We'll have a few names picked out but wait until we see the LO to decide for good.  We did that with DD, and actually ended up just going with the top name on the girl list anyway.  But I like to think that if she hadn't looked like it fit her we would have had the flexibility to change our minds.

I was leaning towards Aleister Edward... But DH says no.  He's a fun ruiner!  Edward was Aleister Crowleys real name.

We keep our babies names a secret until they arrive. But we have 2 daughters already and their names are Ashlyn Juliana and Sydney Emyliah (emma-leah). We are now pregnant with twins and I'm wanting names that are unique, but not too far out there. We don't like to do anything on the top 10 or even close. For the twins i'm wanting names that go well together, but not rhyme. Any ideas out there? We don't know gender yet...

I think it's cute when twins have names that start with the same letter. Will you be finding out the genders?

Yes, we want to find out their gender. My dr said at our last appointment that he thought they were identical. So either 2 boys or 2 girls. :) I like the idea of them both starting with the same letter, but am not set on it. Just needing ideas.

We also have a Galic thing going on too. DS is Seamus, DD is Moira. Orla, Ida and Iona are all girls names I like...Dh doesn't like any of them. For boys, I like Declan (DH hates it) and DH likes Desmond (I'm not sold on it). We both like Fergus, but I believe that is now one of the characters in  Brave, so that mean's it's out. We perfer not popular Galic names and ones that are gender specific. We are having a hard time this go-around.

If me and my BF have a girl, we decided on MaKenna Cassidy Blair. If its a boy, tentivly Blaine Donald (Donald is for my father who passed away 12 years ago.) I am not sold on Blaine, so I think I will try and convince BF otherwise.

Great names ladies! Love how unique some of them are.   As for me, we don't know genders yet for the twins, but if its two girls I think we've settled on Delaney and Delilah!

I love Ophelia and DH says its "too tragic."

I love Rosalind, but neither like the nickname "rose"

We love sylvia but our friend has a kid named that- same with esme, vivian.

Mirmiam and Juliet are ex girlfriends of DH.

Phoebe is Lisa Kudrow and will forever be (because Im a closet Friends lover).

I so, so would love to convince him on Ophelia. We call Adaline "Ada" and will call Calliope "Calli" so DH is pushing for a name with a good nickname too.

Maybe Lindie as a nickname for Rosalind? But yeah, as I think you've just perfectly outlined, picking names is TOUGH!

I can't wait to find out the gender of my bean so I can start narrowing it down. I'm now pretty convinced its another boy and I just don't even know where to start .

So, I haven't come to this thread because I sort of ignore baby names for some unknown reason.. I think I just don't want to stress about it. We have a girl name, but no boy name (sort of) so I'm thinking it'll be a boy, haha. 

Our girl name is Lydia and the middle name is undecided as of yet. I am liking Lydia Therese or Lydia Rachel, but I just don't know yet.

We thought our third baby was going to be a boy and we had Reuben picked out. Well, she was a girl and we named her Ruby. DH still wants our next boy to be Reuben, I am not sure. I love the name but I don't know if I'm ok with having a Ruby and Reuben. Thoughts?

Ooh, I LOVE lydia. I wanted to name my litter girl that when I was little. Dh doesnt like it, but it is sooo cute.
