I definitely felt my little person this morning. I was lying on my side feeding J before she woke up properly and my arm was lying across the bump. I felt several definite blips :-)

16 weeks 6 days here, I have been feeling what I thought were movements here and there but wasn't certain until these past few days.  I definitely feel little taps and bumps now and I LOVE IT .

I have felt what I think was the baby for a month now but it was not often at all...little flutter, rolling feeling now and then. Now these last few days it's been a lot. Even felt hiccups the other day. Loving all the little rolls, pokes, and taps!! I had an anterior placenta last time and was thinking I might this time around as well but now I'm not so sure. Enjoy mamas!

how long was it until you felt your baby last time?

I'm 16w4d with this one, my first, and I'm pretty certain I first felt it moving around week 13. When my pants were too tight or I had the seatbelt across my lower belly, I'd feel this weird angry cramping. I'm assuming it was the kiddo being constricted and not approving. It was very few and far between though. I did have a violent stabby cramp in one section around week 15 when I was at a concert that had a particular noise in one song, and as soon as the noise stopped the cramp stopped. Probably angry baby again.

This last week though I've had alienbaby movements - no real kicks yet, but definitely pressure and hardness when it's shoving itself into corners. The freakiest part for me (since this is my first, I'm totally not used to this!) is when it's sticking out in one spot and I push on it gently, and it seems to just swim away. I had a nightmare after the first time where it swam up into my chest cavity and did the alien chestburster thing. My husband laughed :(

Today it's been rolling all over the place, constant weird shifting pressure and occasionally it pokes itself out on one side. I want real kicks!

RE: dopplers - we found our HB at home with our doppler at 9 weeks. It took a while but definitely findable, now I can find it in a pinch.

This week I def felt movement.  It was really...spiritual in a way.  Can't wait until dh and ds can feel movement.

If I remember correctly I started feeling a little movement around 16ish weeks but it was just here and there and then not all the time for a few more weeks. With my 2nd-4th kiddos I felt them all very early so not feeling my 5th that early was confusing until I found out about the placenta being in the way. This little one is definitely making it's presence known :-)

Same here! My other kids were active early. My youngest I felt movement by 11 weeks. It has been strange not to feel this baby until recently! The last couple of days though, WOW! Baby has been really active! Last night both DH and my mom felt the baby rolling around and poking.

still waiting here... 18 weeks today and I've felt virtually nothing.  It's annoying.

Shoot, I don't look it either! 18 1/2 weeks, and do NOT look it. Even ppl who don't know and see me weekly (one hadn't seen me for 3 weeks) still can't tell. Part of it's the losing weight and not gaining it back yet.....

I'm a first-timer, too, and felt first movement at 17w2d.  I'm 18w2d today, and I've felt movement a total of 3 times, including that first time.  The laying down with hands on my belly doesn't work for me, as then I just feel my pulse no matter where I put my hands.

A cool tidbit... that first movement was felt on my grandmother's birthday.   If it's a girl (which we think it is), we're naming her after that grandmother (who passed in 2008).  Part of me wants to believe it was her way of letting me know she's still with me.

I'm 16 weeks tomorrow in my first pregnancy and I think I have been feeling baby all week. I had heard that it would be much later for my first baby, up to 20 weeks, but I also read that depending on your build it could be earlier. At first I just assumed it was gas or my pulse or that I was imagining it, but now I'm pretty sure. When I'm laying down or sitting quietly and reading I can definitely feel something moving down there. Nothing very strong, like a kick, but definite movement. So exciting!

I'm feeling her a little bit more now but ultrasound today confirmed what I had suspected - anterior placenta - so it'll be interesting to see how the movements change as she gets bigger.

I have been steadily feeling good solid movement for the last week and a half. I'm 19w1d currently, and my husband even got to feel it finally at abut 18w4d (not for a lack of trying - it calms down the minute he places his hand on me!). I'm surprised he can feel it so early. I thought for sure it would be later. Kid's gonna be in martial arts!
