Waldorf Early Childhood in Buffalo - The Rose Garden

Hi Mamas,

Wondering if any Buffalo/WNY parents have a review of the Waldorf Early Childhood Center, The Rose Garden, on the west side? After looking at a half dozen schools for my 3 y.o. DD, we settled on this one. We really wanted to go Montessorri at Nardin but can't afford it. This is still a lot for us but DH and I were very impressed with the school. We are an AP, organic, all-around crunchy family so the vibe of organic grains, natural play, wood toys and focus on children's daily rhythms was appealing to us. I don't know much about Waldorf except what I've read and they and the Aurora school put on a beautiful open house. Was all settled on it and then came across the "After Waldorf" threads on here, which are now making me second guess the decision a bit as it sounds like there is a bit of a cultish side to it (at least represented there). So I was hoping to get some objective referrals/reviews from area parents. Any advice/experience, good or bad, please share! Thanks so much, Phoenix

PS - Don't know if it helps, but I have no intention of continuing with Waldorf past early childhood. DD will be attending free public school with her sister as soon as she can. I am enrolling DD at 3 because I need child care and couldn't wait until 4 to start universal pre-k in our district.
