I am not having a good time. I woke up at 4 am (for the third time since 1 am) with low, crampy feelings. Peeing helps, but does not fix the problem. I don't have a fever, but I do have 'hot flashes' where I get sweaty, which is actually normal for me this pg, but not in the middle of the night, really. I am working this morning, so I've been trying to just monitor how I'm feeling - and I don't feel 'right'. I really think it's more in a UTI way than in a possible miscarriage way but part of me is freaking out about that too. But I'm not bleeding at all, and . . . it just doesn't feel at all like a period or labor. I haven't chosen a midwife yet (and since they are CPMs I'm not 100% sure they can prescribe anything anyway in my state), I don't have a doctor because we just moved, and it's Sunday. Meaning the Urgent Care places aren't open.
I'm trying to decide whether to go to the ER or not. On the one hand, I think if I'm pregnant and feeling crampy, I'm totally justified in doing so if I want to. On the other hand, I hate going to the ER, especially on a Sunday. And not sure I want to be poked and prodded to the extent that I will be in a hospital (my one other pregnant ER experience was not positive. They thought I had an ectopic pg and insisted on IV fluids and the u/s tech was incredibly rude and rough while doing a transvaginal u/s at 1 in the morning.) And I'm not happy about the cost, either.
