Will be 11there weeks tomorrow. Nausea is mostly gone... except when i eat on an empty stomach. Need to eat small and often. I threw up on sunday, but not since. Only a total of 5the times this pregnancy (never never with my girls). I have a serious ear ache... trying to cure it at home. Is grapefruit seed extract ok for pregnancy?

I had some good days a few weeks ago, then slipped back into bad nausea. Today hasn't been terrible.... I am ready for the sickness to be over. :( 11 weeks today.

I keep waiting for a nosebleed because my nose is really dry and stuffed up (I live next to an ocean, so this makes virtually no sense). I used to get really severe ones when I was younger, so I wouldn't really be surprised if my nose started gushing some day soon.

If the rest of this pregnancy has been any indication, it'll probably happen at the most inopportune time possible. Like in the middle of grocery shopping alone when I've left my purse at home or while I'm facilitating a therapy group or something.

Thank you very much for the heads up redface.gif

I think its a combination of 1st trimester headaches and dizziness as the blood is rushing to the pelvis and not so much in my head, and its been a very humid and hot summer so its easy to feel weak and tired, lots of water keeps me going,

I have had a ultrasound now and to my best knowledge, there wasnt any apparent red flags and I have had pain in my stomach, I spoke with my MD and she suggested it the tendons stretching and moving, or that I am being maybe to active with my lifting, I have a 2 yr old at 35 pounds who still needs mommy lifts so its hard to navigate not doing it, to my understanding, w/e weight you lifted regularly prior to pregnancy is safe, which is why nurses can continue to work, lifting patients (possibly) without major risk...... i think! lol

MS UPDATE: It has tapered off, very slightly. I can go longer periods of time without feeling sick, I am going to stop taking the prescription Diclectin for morning sickness because

-It doesnt help in the slightest, not even a little bit

-It was like a sleeping pill, I was so tired and drowsy, beyond belief And I have another LO so I cant nap!

-I was having nightmares everytime I slept, including naps, It was really affecting my daily mood since it was so constant, I dreaded going to sleep

-After googling "diclectin nightmares" to see if it was just me, i found the active ingredient is in nyquil, and can be prescribed to insomniac patients for sleep.....fantastic, I either puke or sleep?

So no thanks, not to mention its expensive, I find eating when I feel like barfing helps, surprisingly, but i think this can lead to alot of weight gain!

I had never heard of Diclectin  - apparently it's only available in Canada. It looks to be a mix of Unisom (doxylamine - an antihistamine) and Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine). I would suggest taking just plain Vitamin B6. I've been taking 25mg twice a day and it seems to really help. I didn't take it for a few days and felt really lousy - as soon as I started taking it again I felt better. I could imagine that the Unisom-part of the diclectin is horribly sedating. Makes me tired just thinking about it! sleepytime.gif

I had my first weird pregnancy craving: bacon and strawberries coated with syrup

I usually hate bacon and have never been fond of syrup (table, at least), so this is particularly out of character for me. My god was it delicious.

Ended up in ER again couple of days ago.  My bad  constipation that's been going on for the past couple of weeks at least reached a critical point - fecal impaction.  Had to be manually removed by a doctor - extremely uncomfortable.  They prescribed a laxative which they say is safe during preg, which I've started taking, but I'm still having the same problem now - feel like I'm trying to poo out  a grapefruit!  I've tried so many different things its ridiculous.  If I can't do anything today, I'm gonna end up in ER again...

Silver lining to the ER trip was I had a short ultrasound, and got to see my lil bean's HB.  I have my first OB appt next Tues.

I did end up back in ER... Had anotheer manual disimpaction, an enema and then was able to goa bit on my own.  A couple of days later painless movements returned, with the prescribed laxative.

I've cut down alot on my Zofran since that apparently constipates - now taking it 0-1 times a day. Having smoothies, soups and salads pretty much exclusively for the next few days.  No other cravings, still pretty much nothing sounds appetizing...

Seabands and grazing pretty much constantly throughout the day is keeping  my nausea in check - still have the odd day where I vomit once, but its nowhere near as bad as it was.

So my handy dandy Pregnancy app gives a week by week symptoms heads up and it said week 10 is usually the worst week for Morning Sickness. I just passed the 9 week mark yesterday and am feeling worse than ever again. Anyone else find this week was a particular doozy? I had scheduled a lot of work for myself. Le sigh.

shoot.  I thought it was 9 weeks. (I'm 9w2d and miserable)  I can't quite remember when it peaked with DD, but I do remember telling my doctor at my 10 week appt. that it was starting to let up just a little.

I think it's different for every woman. 6-9 are the worst for me.

Also, not to make anyone else feel bad, but I think my MS is almost over? I haven't felt nauseous all weekend and have been eating a wider variety of foods. my stomach has shrunk so much, though, that it gets painful when I eat a "normal" amount. Stretch little tummy, stretch!

You can pick these B6 candies up at Babies R Us if you have one near you http://www.bnatal.ca/

I haven't had a lot of MS, which is good for my sanity but bad for weight gain eyesroll.gif  I'm 10 weeks now and just feel tired and I get headaches on the really hot icky days, starting to dream more and getting up every 2 hours to pee does not help the tired feeling!!

Finally feeling like I am on the other side of the symptoms!!!!  I was able to cook dinner last night and EAT it!  I also cleaned the house a bit and got a run in the morning.  I was TIRED most of the day, but not the knocked down feeling I have been having.  This morning I am also feeling pretty good.  Had a wave of nausea, but actually think I may be able to eat breakfast.

I am 12 weeks on Thursday!  I felt sick until about 13 with DD2 and 11 with DD1.

Most of us ladies will start feeling better soon!!!!!

Oh, and my books say that 10 weeks is when the MS can start going away.... 9-11 was pretty bad for me.

I feel like i may be on the other side as well. I. The general scheme of things, i don't think my symptoms were that bad, but they were annoying and definitely worse than they were with either oneof the other kids. My aversions seem toave abated, nausea was nonexistent yesterday, and minimal today and Sunday, i actually did not feel like i would collapse if i did not get somesort of nap, and the big cincher...i cleaned my kitchen today, complete with sweeping. J have literally not swept in over a month...gross, yes, but the minimal energy i have had was better used feeding the children and keeping them alive. The best thing is that it isn't even maki g me (that) nervous aince i am approaching the symptom going away time (i am somewhere between 10-11 weeks )l (sorry about weird typos and formatting....i am on my phone)

So last night DH and I went out to dinner and a movie. It was SO NICE to be able to eat at a restaurant and I stuffed my face. Then in the middle of the night I woke up puking. It wasn't food poisoning because DH and I shared the same dishes and he was fine. Was it random MS? I don't think it was the flu either because when I get that I always get a fever/chills. So HMMMM maybe I just ate too much? It sucked.

i am 11w3d today. feeling better but not all better. it seems as soon as the m/s lightened up significantly my back started hurting REALLY bad  and i'm having crampy round ligament pains and it feels like my right leg is going to fall off..  :P still tired too.

loveandgarbage - I think that sounds like random m/s  - i've had similar things happen in other pregnancies, usually during week 11-16  for some reason, during that time i feel less sick but throw up more if i'm not really careful.

Thanks Staci. I'll try not to stuff my face for a few more weeks. It's just so hard.

I've had similar stuff happen if I have a really delicious dinner that makes me suddenly want to eat seconds... then I pay.

Enter the Migraine. I didn't want to take anything since the dose suggested for things on the "sort-of OK when pregnant" list wouldn't have been nearly enough. Spent the night with hubby doing pressure points and a bunch of ice packs. Oddly enough what I've read about pain threshold going up during pregnancy seems to be very true. I didn't reach quite the same pain extremes that I have in the past. Instead of a 10 out of 10 it was like a 9.5.

I look at headaches as a chance to practice my labor pain management techniques.  For about 5 minutes, and then I take tylenol ;)  Of course two tylenol don't do much for me either (I typically take 3 ibuprophen when not pregnant).
