6 weeks 3 days and morning sickness has arrived like an unwelcome freight train. The last 2 days have been constant nausea intersperesed with bouts of gagging and a little puking.

Nothing is helping, it's an awful awful feeling. I was hoping I didn't get sick like this again, and it seems I have.

So far everything I've tried hasn't worked. I am going to try eating more protein and see if that helps.

I am 6 wks 3 days and the morning sickness has really hit me too.. still haven't thrown up, but i feel horrible all day..  If I'm going to throw up that usually starts about 7 weeks.. my last pregnancy i felt worse than ever, but didn't throw up much, i'm not sure what it worse.. that or throwing up daily until 16 weeks :P

oh and my milk supply has dropped dramatically, and my nipples are really getting sore..  my milk supply doesn't usually dry up this much until the end of the first trimester.. my poor 21 mo old has been waking up dry and asking for water..  :(

I am still waiting for the nausea to get worse... Sorry for you mama's that it is full force....

I am of course a little worried since I had pretty bad all day nausea with both girls (COULD NOT eat dinner for the first 12-15 weeks).... I feel kinda sick in the mornings now, but by evening, I am ok and most nights I can eat.... I can't eat breakfast though, and lunch is pretty much the only meal I feel great for.... Have lost 5 lbs already.... Still wondering what is going on though....

After 2 girls, could this be my first sign it is a boy?????

I am 7 weeks today and my all day sickness hits by 5 weeks usually.  I felt sick early in this pregnancy (3.5 weeks), but now I am feeling pretty ok..... Hmmmm, my first MW appt is next Tuesday.

You know what's really cool? Cat shedding/hairball season coinciding with my first trimester. I can't deal.

Chloe's Mama, it sounds like it is just a different pregnancy.  I wouldn't worry....most moms of several kids seem to have different symptoms with different kids!

Mamas with morning sickness....I'm sorry.  It just sucks.  How could I have possibly forgotten how much I hate the first trimester?  I am in the midst of SWEARING off EVER having more kids at this point, except via adoption.  Yet I know I'll forget again.  Hopefully it'll just be a few weeks?  Le'sigh.  I just feel like being SUPER grumpy and dramatic right now because morning sickness is evil.

It is TOTALLY evil and unfair and should be OUTLAWED.

I started getting nausea earlier this week (around 5 weeks).  Today it seems to have let up this evening which, of course, makes me worry.  Anyone else having symtpoms come and go.  I hate the nausea but it is reassuring at the same time.  Maybe it hasn't come full force yet because I am so early?  I am anxiously waiting to hear this bun's heartbeat, then I will be able to relax a little bit.

My MS completely disappeared right after my threatened miscarriage (annoying timing!) but then came back a few days later. I think symptoms can come and go.

and yes to this too!  my nausea was on and off until about 6 weeks and it started at 4 weeks - so i'd think if it started at 5 weeks it may take a few weeks to be consistent ..  starting at 6 weeks i've been miserable most of the day every day and if it lets up i refuse to worry and just enjoy it..  but i worried all the time before 6 weeks ..

I completely swore off being pregnant during the first trimester of my last pregnancy (#3) .. i haaaate this nausea after that, i can handle it .. but omg. this SUCKS!!!  why don't i ever remember how bad this is?!

I have a terrible cycle of MS right now where I generally feel awful but there are points in the day (or even the rare day) where I feel fine and get to be thankful for all of, like, an hour before I start getting nervous that I don't feel sick... then I get sick again and curse myself for wishing for it.

Why didn't I just adopt! ;)

I keep trying to remind myself that I am happy and excited. I just tell myself I feel good, I feel fine, over and over. Then I gag and it's all I can do to not get super frustrated. greensad.gif  still haven't found anything that seems to help. Although eating more protein does seem to ease it off a little. I literally feel nauseous and gaggy fron the time I roll out of bed until I go to sleep at night.

Almost 6 weeks, no real MS to speak of, though some nausea which Im chickening out and treating with Zofran.  After 3 pregnancies with HG, I kind of start to panic when I get nauseated.  Last time was sooooo bad.  My energy level is super low, which is not helped by the 21 month old that thinks he must nurse all night long.  Having a super hard time getting going in the morning.  I know it's really important for me to get up and eat something, I just cant seem to make myself do it. :/  Beyond that, I dont have any of the other symptoms that plagued me during my other pregnancies.  It's starting to weird me out.  No sore nipples, no tender breasts, no massive wave of MS.  Basically I just feel run down and thats kind of it.

<hugs> to everyone feeling green today.

If my MS gets as bad as it was with DS2 I might take the Zofran route, too. I just don't want to waste this whole summer feeling like I can't move.

Contact your doctor or midwife.  You've lost the pounds in what, just the last week or two?  That's a lot of weight to lose in the first trimester.  More importantly though, it sounds like you're pretty miserable.  Zofran or Unisom might help, and even though I'm not all "YAY DRUGS" for no reason whatsoever, a healthy, somewhat functional mama is a GREAT reason to take that relief.

I typically lose weight in the early weeks, before I start gaining. And that's with nausea, no vomiting. I'd contact your doc or mw if you're concerned or if you started out underweight. I'm starting this one underweight and thankfully haven't lost any and finally put on 2lbs. Hope you feel better soon.

I have lost 5 lbs and that is without vomiting (lost 10 total with DD1 and gained that plus 40 lbs at the end....Yikes).... I don't think the weight loss is the concern (unless you are underweight), I think it is dehydration.... if you are not able to keep any liquids down.  If that is the case, get in to see a doc right away.... can be very dangerous.  My friend had to get IV fluids 2-3 times a week because her dehydration was so bad.  Not something to mess around with.

oh your cat started barfing today too? yeah.

I've been feeling pretty awful for the past couple of days where I'm not necessarily nauseated but just SUPER tired and feeling woozy and gaggy whenever I eat anything with any flavor and dizzy whenever I walk around. It's so bad that I haven't left the house in two days while eating only plain, unsalted crackers, and toast (though I'm able to get down my prenatals) with the occasional tiny can of ginger ale or glass of milk.

Is this a pregnancy thing or am I sick? Or both? I can't distinguish at this point.

I am only 4w4d, and my main syymptom is extreme hunger. I need to eat constantly or my stomach feels like it is an empty pit. This is always my first symptom. It actually usually makes me gain a bit of weight right away, unlike most of you who are sick and losing weight.

I have increased discharge and mildly sore boobs from time-to-time. I have also had mild nausea in the evenings after the kids go to bed, which is a good time to have it, I guess.
