Slugs in the salad - I could puke just thinking about that...
Having a tough day here - I put myself in bedrest for the day. i was so happy to reach the 2nd trimester energy that I overdid it for the last 2 days - too many runarounds with the kids (having free movies in the park, concerts, and carnival right next door didn't help!)., too much yard work - we (7 of the kids & I) made pathways on our property while others were planting the orchard - 9 fruit trees went in yesterday, plus a fence for the deer! Anyway woke up campy, with a HUGE headache - I think I'm just tired & dehydrated, but figured it would be a good idea to take it easy for the day. Fortunately it's Sunday, all the other big people are home, and with the exception of the baby (2yo) everyone has been pretty happy & self-sufficient :).
On a sadder note, a friend was hospitalized with severe preclampsia, she is only 28 weeks and is not expecting to get to leave until after the baby is born - right now the goal is to keep him cooking for another 6 weeks; hopefully at that point they will be able to keep her going as long as possible. Anyway, if you pray, light candles, create spells, whatever, I know she would appreciate the good vibes. She is a mama of 4 (this is her 5th), oldest in college 2nd just graduated from HS, her youngest is 8.
On a happier note, yesterday we planted DS3's placenta under the cherry tree as it was going into the orchard- he had his choice of apples, apricots, peach, plum, pear, cherry, and he chose cherry. He is 6 this week, and was so precious with the whole thing, asking questions & telling everyone that when they eat a good cherry they should come tell him thank you every time :)
That is so gorgeous about your son! What a beautiful little soul!
I am definitely thinking of your friend.. Thats such a horrible thing to happen! My thoughts are with her! And her children, born and not yet born.
Hope your feeling better today SegoLilly???
I woke up thinking to myself this morning "oh when is this sickness going to end", but then have spent the rest of the morning and arvo dancing around the house, eating a big breakfast and laughing with DH so something must be going right!! Haha!
Things are pretty quiet here. My cat jumped on my uterus last night which resulted in some nice stabbing pains, which the midwife reassured me where just tension and stretching, so that is good!
Hope everyone starts feeling as freakishly energetic as me soon!! Lets go run a marathon shall we?!?!
