TTC while Nursing - June - Page 3

I had trouble conceiving my 2nd while nursing my first (he was around 20-21 months), and read the advice on one of the forums here to take a complex B vitamin.  Maybe it was conincidence, but one month after starting the B vitamin, I got pregnant.

I'm outta here, ladies.....we're weaned.  If my cycle goes anything like it did after I weaned my oldest, I'll ovulate in about 10-14 days.  Good luck, mamas!!

Well, it looks like the symptoms I was having a few weeks ago were probably ovulation symptoms. Go figure!

AF showed up today, after 875 days. Kinda ruins my "Hey, how about you try to be a father again!" Father's Day plans!

I think it will probably be a few months before we start actually trying, though,

9 dpo today.  BFN 

I know it's early but I can't help but already be disappointed.  At least twice I've known by 9dpo. My fourth pregnancy threw me for a loop though.  I think I had given up testing at 12dpo and then 2 days later I was  nauseous and tested late in the day and got my BFP.  So I know there's still hope and I know our timing was good. I hate these ups and downs!

CONGRATULATIONS Letileon!!! (and chloes mama if you see this I wasn't online for the rest of the may thread so didnt get a chance to say congrats)

Well I am still waiting to O........   ............................  Have put dots on every day on the calender that we will be bd'ing (basically every day except the evenings when dh is at work and doesnt get back til 2:30am) I wish I had some kind of clue as to how long this cycle will be, my only clue is that for a lot of nursers it seems that the first few cycles are incredibly long but getting shorter...  so hopefully mine will be less than 41 days.  The O day when DS was conceived was cd18 so ive put some extra dots on the days around cd 18.  Am being a bit slack with OPK's this month and because of so much bd'ing imnot sure when its ewcm and when its semen, cervix was so high i couldnt reach it today though, hopefully means something....  oh i also bought dh a waistcoat and shirt from a charity shop for a wedding we are going to next week and when he tried them on I was like WOW YOU LOOK HOT. DS HAVE A NAP NOW PLEASE. hehe maybe a sign of impending ovulation.

ds has actually been nursing a lot more than normal during daytimes recently so we'll see..

I'll be 10DPO on Wednesday but I'm going to try and hold off testing until Saturday.  We'll see how that plan goes!

10dpo today.  BFN   But it had only been 2 hours since the last time I went to the bathroom.  I really can't hold it at night.  Maybe I should test in the afternoon.  I seem to go less often during the day.  Wouldn't it have been cool to get a positive today?  What an awesome Father's Day gift that would make for DH.  Darn.

Well, I'm throwing in the towel.   CD27, 12DPO and no sign of a second line.  I have a headache which often happens right before AF.  Ughh.

I'll be 10DPO tomorrow but I'm not going to test.  My friend and I are going to test on Saturday morning and see what happens.  Turns out we O'd on the same day so our due dates will be March 2nd.  I have no pregnancy symptoms but I have been super bitch the past 5 days so I don't know if that means anything.  It's nothing like the severe PMS I had while my body was getting back to normal cycles after having DS.

After dealing with DS the past few weeks I'm seriously considering being one and done if we aren't pregnant right now.  If it didn't work this month I think we are going to stop for a couple of months and revisit things in August or September.  It's not the first time I've considered it and it would allow us to be happy with the house and life we have now instead of worrying about saving money and getting better jobs just to afford more.  DH is really upset and I feel bad for letting him down but I really don't think I can handle the baby/toddler stage a second time around with a toddler/pre-schooler on my hands.

WP135, don't be discouraged!  If you aren't ready now, maybe a few months or years will change things or maybe one is the right number for you.  SO much will change between 13 mos and say, two years! (don't get me wrong, I've had moments even recently when I've thought, OMG how does anyone do this more than once???)

AFM, hanging out on cycle day 19, I think I O'd last Saturay and I am going to get my progesterone tested on Friday (day 21, although I'll only be 6 days past O and 7 is ideal.  Labs are closed on the weekends here).  Fingers crossed my progesterone looks ok...Anyone have experience with this?  If it is low, but I did have a long enough luteal to get preggo, anyone know if it would really up my odds of a miscarriage?

I know that's what they say.  I used natural progesterone cream while TTC #3.  Whether coincidence or not, I got pregnant my 2nd cycle with it after trying for 7 without it.  One of the early cycles I know I had an early miscarriage.  I did last cycle too.  Hmmm...Maybe I should try the progesterone cream again.

AF showed up today right on schedule so moving myself to waiting to O again.  This will be my 3rd cycle TTC #5. 

I know we have some time, but June is speeding by.  Does anyone want to host the thread in July?  I can't; I'll be gone half the month.

Thanks JRs mom.  Maybe there are threads on this (likely) but do you need a prescription for the cream, and do you just use it while TTC or do you keep it up through the 1st Trimester?  While I was feeling nervous about actually TTC next month, now that I feel like I might have to wait I've realized I really am ready, and don't want to wait any longer!  It's like when you do "Eeny, meeny, miney, mo" and land on the wrong thing!  Makes you realize what you wanted all along!

While you can get progesterone cream without a prescription, it would be a good idea to have someone guide you in dosage and how long to use it.

I got mine without a prescription but had talked with my (naturally oriented) doctor who recommended it and he had me using a different amount of cream during different parts of my cycle.  I don't remember the specifics.

I know what you mean about realizing what you want.  It was just two months ago that a similar experience happened to me.  Then DH and I agreed we would TTC in a couple months.  Well within days I could tell I was ovulating and by then I was eager to try right away!  Now it's just coming up on the time we were going to start TTC and I'm already bummed I'm not already pregnant.  That's why I hang out on here.  I can't share my craziness with people in real life!  lol!

If you ask my DH we are not officially TTC, we are just doing our thing and seeing what happens. BUT I am TTC. I want another baby soon. DS1 & DS2 are only 15 months apart and are already so close emotionally. I really don't want a much bigger gap between DS2 and the next one, so I'm also bummed that I'm not pregnant yet. Even though DS2 is only 9 months old it seems like he just isn't a baby any more, and with at least another 9 months before baby would arrive he'll definitely still have plenty of time as the baby of the family. However my cycles have been a bit longer than they used to be so I'm not sure what is going on and this is my first month charting since TTC DS1, and my first time TTC while nursing.

I'm so glad we have each other to hang out with and help along the way, craziness included.

I am hoping that I've caught the first egg on Father's Day... I'm going to wait to test until July 6th, my HEDD is March 9th, which is the day after our 5th anniversary. Oh, and my dd is 18months.
