Ending the first tri on 9 days of bedrest, is it silly to still hope for a hb?

I am on bedrest because of light bleeding. Baby looked fine but I had some blood vestibules that the placenta may have bumped into. I am barely spotting now (light bleeding started Friday evening).

We have not shopped for a midwife yet. We were waiting until the second tri. I'd love a hb but only if I am comfortable doing it and considered low risk.

Anyone end up on bedrest early on but had a successful hb in the end?

ETA: I should also add I'm 37 and a size 16 so I feel like I already have two counts against me.

I had bleeding in the first tri. Midwife diagnosed subchorionic hemorrhage. I went on to have an uneventful pregnancy and homebirth.

I was on pelvic rest, but not bed rest, with my oldest due to slight bleeding. No further complications and continued with my plans to have him at home. 

I think you are fine to keep looking for a midwife, just let her know up front what was going on so she can help you determine what kind of risks you might have.
