Baby is super engaged, measuring 5 weeks behind?

Has this happened to anyone else pretty early? My prenatal check at 34 weeks said I was measuring 31wks. The midwives felt around and said baby's head was engaged really low, hence the small measurement. Then I just had my home visit yesterday at 36wks on the dot. I am still measuring 30-31wks. But the baby feels bigger and my uterus felt fuller the midwives said. They are guessing 5+lbs right now. Her head is sooo very low. Anybody else continue to not grow in fundal height simply because baby stayed engaged? I have always always heard that lack of growth in the uterus ment lack of growth in the baby. But I do know for a fact her head is engaged and low, we can all feel body parts and I feel she has "dropped" a while ago.

I think fundal height is just a rough marker, and 2 weeks really isn't all that long.  As I have had more babies, I have found it to be fairly unreliable.  With this last pregnancy, I'd be 4-5 weeks ahead one month, and the next month behind.

Once baby drops, it becomes a very unreliable way to measure. I wouldn't worry about it. Sounds like there are other signs baby is growing.

I don't know about the dropping thing- but my fundals heights are always wacky.  Like I grew 7 cm in 2 weeks and then shrank.  weird.  I wouldn't worry about it.
