Not quite sure where to post this. . .but has anyone ever found that they reacted badly to GF foods? Breads specifically.
My mother has celiac, I have some small issues with IBS-like symptoms and my ebf infant has some eczema, so I have been trying a GF diet. Although I haven't yet managed to go more than a week without a slip-up. I've been noticing a trend though of having intestinal distress and really awful gas when I eat GF breads or muffins. Now, I'm not positive that this is the connection. I'd have to do a real elimination diet to know I guess, but I've been trying to track it and figure out what could be causing this. The thing that has been new to my diet is the GF bread. Do you think there is something in there bothering me? Like the tapioca starch or the xanthum gum or something? It happened with Udi's bread and now some Gf muffins from WF.
Again, it could not be related at all, I just wondered if anyone else had ever experienced this. The one full week that I was truly GF I expected to have no GI trouble at all, but instead it seemed worse! I know I need to try a GF few weeks with no GF bread products now. . .
