How long after you feel O pain do you actually ovulate? I started feeing strong O pain around 8 this morning but thought it was because I had to poo. After pooing, I was really feeling the pain strongly and knew it was def. O pain. Does that mean that today is def. O day or could it be tomorrow or the next day?

I'm asking because I am having this pain today, as I said above, and a high libido *but* my cervix is not open today. It is High, Soft, but closed.

Hi,

I'm auctually wondering the same thing !?!

I'm feeling a pinching cramp all morning as I know this is ovulation pain.

I also want to know when I will be ovulating after or before the pain???

I've been trying for 7mths and the ovulation kits are not working for me :(

Please help!

From what I understand there a number of different things that can cause ovulation pain (or mittelschmerz), and depending on the cause it can happen before, during or after ovulation.

Here's a good link: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0002472/
