I've actually been reading you for a while. You are hilarious. You are one of my favorite people on the internet.

Agree. Smokering, you've mentioned your freelance writing. I bet I'm not alone in thinking that your work would be awesome to read.

D'awww! Thanks guys! :) My freelance writing is pretty minimal (read: I'm lazy) and honestly, not that exciting - vaguely AP-ish articles for a pregnancy-to-five-years parenting magazine, mostly. Some of the older ones are here, although I wrote some of them, like, four years ago, so Don't Blame Me. :p

rightkindofme, I ended up reading about eight pages of your blog yesterday (when I was meant to be finishing up another article for said magazine, actually - thanks for that!). Damn, mama. That was quite a read. You're pretty awesome!

8 pages? Oh dear god you must be a masochist. I'm lonely. Blogging is what I do to be less crazy.

I just went and read a couple entries. I love it! Your posts about music and pictionary made me actually laugh out loud. DH also said the pictionary clue required "out of the box" thinking to solve. I knew what it was right away. I suspect this reflects that massive difference between his religious upbringing and mine (ie. none).

It was only about three days later that it occurred to me she could have just drawn a starfish. They're not that tricky...

I've read about that many pages of your blog in the last couple of days, Smokering. I really like it!

Sadly, it appears that blogging and pregnancy were in incompatible for me (as are pregnancy and most activities beyond eating and sleeping) so my poor blog is gathering cobwebs in a forgotten corner of the interweb. I'm hoping to revive it later this year.

I started one way, way, way back when it was the cool thing to do here on MDC.  There was a flurry of us over on Xanga back in... uh, 2005 and such?  Yeah, it's been a while.  Most of the other gals have since moved on or deleted their blogs, but I keep up with a few from that group back then on FB.  :)  I still have my blog, but I don't do it to make money or impress anybody, it's just for me.  Almost like a goofy online scrapbook, including kids, house stuff, canning, gardening, homeschooling and whatever else I feel like.  And it's kind of neat to stroll back through memory lane since I started it back when I had just the one kid - the photos alone from back then just crack me up.

Hello!

My blog is about being a 40-something, homeschooling, semi-homesteading mom on the loose.  I post a lot of homeschooling/kid's activities from Sequoia National Forest.

I also have an experimental world cookbook project at http://foodarella.wordpress.com/

I look forward to checking out some of the blogs mentioned above!

YAY! New reading material! My blog is sadly horribly neglected after a mere four posts or something. I've got to get back to it!

Ha! Me too. I think I literally have four posts. Then I got pregnant and my motivation for everything disappeared overnight. And then my computer died and I can't replace it yet. Can't write my blog on my iPhone so it languishes. I plan to revive it as soon as I get a new computer though.

I wonder how many lonely, hidden blogs there are out there in the World Wide Cobweb.  I have about 3, although 2 are pretty much dead, and no one but me reads my current one.  Well, maybe a sister does, maybe.

I was trying to keep up my twitter account about all the rude stuff my children say, but it never really took off, so I gave up on it.

I've been neglecting my blog even more than usual since I found Facebook. :/ Funny stuff that happens throughout the day is easier to post there.

Me to, but not because I use my FB as a blog substitute. Mostly I'm just lazy.

I do not have a blog but my husband does. The entries I like the most are about gardening and bugs. :-)

I remember my xanga blog.  It's still there.  I really need to get all the posts off of it.
