Anybody got a smiler yet?

I am starting to wonder if dd is smiling.  I've been wondering since 2.5 weeks, which is really early, I know.  She's getting more and more deliberate about it.  I won't be confident for a few more weeks, though.

Several of you have babies that are a few weeks older.  Anybody cracking a smile yet?

See my post below. :) Ambrose smiled at me and DH last night. melted my heart.

I swear baby smiled at me last weekend - -approx 3 weeks old. It wasnt followed by a bright red face to indicate gas - just kind of like a happy smiling face - looking at the light I think, not at me, but whatever makes a newborn happy right??
So cute.
dS1 smiled and laughed at about 4 weeks. It was also while sitting in the bouncy seat looking out the window ...

Deacon smiles! He is 4 weeks old today and he definitely smiles. A lot of times it is just in his sleep but the other day I kissed the top of his head and kind of dragged my lips across his fuzzy hair and he smiled a huge grin!! Nothing is cuter than a baby smile <3

yes Sång smiles, the first time was in the NICU as soon as I lay her on me she would smile, I think there is the pic in the thread from her birth story.

Yep.  He started smiling regularly at 3 weeks.  I've got some pretty cute pics.  :-)  He's started cooing a little now at 4 weeks too.  Love it!

Soren's been smiling since about 4 weeks, so for about ten days now. He laughs a lot in his sleep and it melts my heart! I love it and can't wait to hear him start talking soon!

Yep- we've got smiles here! He's almost 4 weeks now, but he started at just under 3 weeks old. It's been getting more deliberate and he'll often repeat it 4-5 times in one go- always at something inanimate, but whatever! He's also just started to make a cooing noise while he smiles, which is super adorable.

Yes :) He started a few days ago (he's 5 weeks) and does it all the time now! Especially at his brother, which makes me smile.

he was smiling from day one! and laughed within the first week (maybe because he was born at 42w?) infectious, huge-grinned, squeaky belly-laughs. it's adorable. he started doing it a lot more while awake a few days ago, when he hit three weeks.

Not really. When shes drifting off to sleep sometimes...She doesnt really do a lot of eye contact either. Its been so long I need to go read those weekly 'my baby development' type write ups.

L isn't smiling, but she's really good at furrowing her brow at me. Hmph.

She's a pretty "challenging" baby, and I'm trying to keep myself from thinking that the reason she hasn't smiled yet is because she's never happy. She's just over 4 weeks, and after last night I'd pretty much kill for a real smile from her.

Just got this pic of Millie laughing yesterday (7+weeks) and had to share.  She's been smiling since 4 weeks, mostly at the decorations above her changing table.

layla doesnt smile intentionally yet either, but she does furrow her brow a lot.  she just stares at me with this mean look on her face.  like shes plotting against me.  lol  its really funny when she also has her fist by her face like shes about to punch me out.  lol

i doubt your little one is unhappy.  the smiles will come soon!
