I have not posted on the weekly threads, but I had to pop in and share my experience.
I am a UC'er and a knitter. My last two children were born unassisted and I used worsted weight wool yarn to tie the cord. It worked great both times. I am planning on doing the same with this new one.
that's a great idea! Did you braid it at all, or just one strand of it was enough?
Cindy-that's great that you had a good talk with your dh. It makes a lot of sense.
As to the question of the week, I'm SO looking forward to cosleeping with a little one again. I mean, lol ds is still in the bed right now, but for ages and ages we haven't really 'cuddled' up close. And, with a newborn, they're so much snugglier. I remember having ds on dh or I's chest in the beginning days, and waking up to that newborn smile is just SUCH a memory I have with ds that I can't wait to repeat it.
I'm not sure if it counts, but I'm also looking forward to getting a second chance at breastfeeding an infant now that I know as much as I do about breastfeeding and solving latch issues, ect... DS and I had the worst start ever and it was painful for something like 6 weeks and had me really stressed for a lot of that period. I'm looking forward to having a better start so that I can get to the enjoying it part much quicker!
