8 weeks pp and light bleeding...is this my period already??

Hi everyone,

I just had my first and the pp bleeding stopped around 5weeks. I'm now 8 wks and just started spotting. This is the third day of it now...just need a pantyliner, nothing heavy. I'm BF exclusively. Is this my period already??? I usually have a much heavier flow (change tampon every couple of hrs). 

If it is my period, will I now have regular cycles or is it a total crapshoot?

It sounds like you're just having pp bleeding, which can start again even after it's stopped. If you've been active or lifting heavy things, I'd take it easier. Keep an eye, if you pass any large clots call your Dr. , but it's probably nothing to worry about.

I had my first real cycle at 6 weeks. It wasn't bad but the second one was! Ugh. So yeah it's possible. I was nursing on demand, co-sleeping, the works. we did use a bottle once a week and paci's though. 

Anywho it is possible. Everyone's body is different. My midwife said it just means I'm fertile. Which is something to be greatful for.
