She goes in for surgery at noon PST today.  Praying for steady hands and swift fingers for the surgeon.  I won't be home until sometime tomorrow, but I'll let you know how it went when I can.

We've been thinking about you and your little one all week. I can't imagine what you must be feeling right now. Sending prayers and hopes and thoughts for Ezri and you and your family and the medical staff working on her (if I were nearby I'd be stacking up a neat little pile of casseroles at your doorstep too). You've been such a pillar of support in this DDC, I hope you can get even a smidgeon of strength from the well-wishes here.

Cristeen, your family will be in my thoughts and prayers all day today.

They took her in early, a little after 11, and were done by 3.  Everything went well, no complications.

We got to go see her in the PICU after they got her settled in.  She'll be unconscious until tomorrow noonish at best, so the doctors convinced me to come home to get some sleep.

She's on a ventilator and has all sorts of tubes and wires, but everything's looking good.  They'll start weaning her off the vent in a couple days, and then we find out whether she's going to be able to swallow or not.

We ordered takeout, we're gonna get DS to bed in a few minutes, and then I'm gonna crash.  I haven't slept all week.

Thank you, ladies.

So glad it went well!!  I've been thinking of you since we'll be doing the same thing soon.  Lots of restful thoughts your way.  Sounds weird but take pictures to show her someday when she's a heart surgeon ;-)
