I do this, too! People often look at me crazy when I say that I use my children to work out. Or they make comments about how that isn't a "real" work out because it's not in a gym or with real weights. I say it counts... and my arms say it does, too. *shrug* DS2 is 30 pounds and I use him as a barbell regularly. He loves it.
Love! I have yet to get into crossfit, though I've wanted to for over a year now. The schedules here (at least for the required classes you have to take before you are "set free" (so to speak)) just do not work at all for our schedule. If only they had some child care!
We do have a kettle bell place (literally) right below us that I've been considering joining for now because I can make that work. I haven't done it before and am unsure about starting new while pregnant (or if they even take pregnant clients), but I'm going to talk to my Midwife next week at my appointment to see what she thinks.
I've been getting much more active now, which feels really good. Although it makes me HUNGRY! lol
The weekend before last we had our annual beach trip with my sister and her husband. Lots of walking, running and playing on the beach.
This past Saturday we went on a 13 mile bike ride and stopped and played at two different parks.
I started a Whole30 today which includes setting some exercise goals, so I've finally gotten around to making plans to workout on purpose. I took the little boys on a walk/jog for 2 miles this morning after breakfast.
My goals are to do some sort of physical activity (fast paced walk, jog or bike ride) 3 times a week for at least 30 minutes. I'll also be doing a set of squats (as many as I can, which isn't many) twice a week. Hopefully this will help me be a little more ready for the 5k coming up in a week and a half. Ack!
