Fermented CLO flavors?

Hi,

I'm about to place my first order for FCLO for my family, and trying to decide on a flavor that my kids (5 and 2yo) will be able to tolerate. I'm planning to mix it into juice anyway, so I was thinking orange? Anyone have any particular success with a flavor for your littles? Or bad experience with a flavor? I don't want to waste the money and have to keep trying different flavors if I can avoid it.

Thanks!!

:)

If you are mixing with juice orange might be the best option.  I haven't found one my children are crazy for, but they didn't do well with cinnamon.

This might sound terrible, but I got the chocolate and I mix it with maple syrup.  It's the only way I can get DD to take it.

DD will take the cinnamon out of the syringe, although its not something she loves, she will do it.  We both follow it with a glass of milk.  I have heard mamas who get the orange and put it in with a shot of orange juice.  I have tried the orange skate liver oil, and believe me it does not taste that good but I think it would be ok with OJ.  The plain is really nasty.  If you can shoot it out of the syringe and into the back of your throat and swallow quickly and chase it with milk then its not so bad no matter what flavor you take.  I havent tried the chocolate.  Is it good?   I am thinking we need to stay away from the ones with stevia tho because we are trying to cut back on our use of all sweeteners....

Thanks for all these thoughts. I think I'll try for the orange in some juice, and then if that doesn't work, go for the chocolate maple syrup! Whatever works, right?

It might be too late to give my two cents, but I give my toddler the cinnamon tingle (FCLO/HVBO blend), on a spoon and I fill the rest of the spoon with whole cream. He used to clap his hands over his mouth when he would see me pull out the "black vitamin" (sounds ominous, no?), and now he says "It's not yucky!". I think the fat in the cream counteracts any of the cinnamon 'spicyness'.

Best of luck!
