Weight gain - Page 3

Mine has, too!  He and I are both up around fifteen pounds.  I say 'around' because I honestly haven't weighed myself in a few weeks since we've been out of town camping, canoeing, and hiking in the mountains.  My work pants are about to go into retirement.  Suddenly I have a butt AND a belly when I normally don't have either and I sincerely need to go up a size.  I have a feeling a lot of growth is in store in the next few weeks...  Seventeen weeks today and I'm finally starting to really 'show'.

I gained 65 lbs. with my first.  I wasn't concerned about it, since I felt that I did it safely for the most part (considering I craved grilled cheese sandwiches, root beer floats, and had frozen yogurt regularly in my third trimester haha). I had an 8 lbs. 15 oz baby and was 10 lbs under my start weight at his first birthday.

This time around, I felt like I needed to switch to maternity clothes sooner on, which made me nervous, but apparently I've only gained about 3 lbs as of 17w.  I feel pretty icky all of the time - not actually nauseous, but ill - and nothing is appetizing.  I literally do not want to eat, ever.  At my last appointment, my healthcare provider suggested milkshakes, Snickers bars and peanut M&Ms... O.o

I'm not concerned overall.  I'm a big believer that your body provides for your LO (while pregnant and while BFing).  I'm working really hard to eat as well as I can, but I refuse to stress over it.
