Wauwatosa/Milwaukee

Hi, I am Zile. Mom to a 12 mos. little boy!! I live in Milwaukee/Wauwatosa area and was curiuos if there is anyone out there is more a supporter of the attachment theory....I haven't found many parents like that! Just curious! Thanks!

Welcome!  I live in Tosa, too.  You're right, not many attachment parents out there.  My kids are 4-1/2 and 15 mo.  Have you joined the Milwaukee Attachment Parenting Yahoo Group - simply an online discussion board.  You will find more like-minded people in the greater Milwaukee area, although most don't seem to be in Tosa.

 

Let me know if you ever want to meet up - Jacobus Park works out really well for us because there are age-appropriate activities for both kids to be engaged in.

Just wanted to say welcome, I too live in Tosa (we live over by the hospital and bike to Jacobus on the weekends sometimes!).

I also live in 'Tosa and am an attachment mom! We live by Hartung Park in the Menomonee Parkway neighborhood.  I wish wauwatosa had more support or mom's groups or meet-ups for moms like us!  My son is 10 months.

Good Morning...I know everyone is probably really busy, but I just thought it would be really nice if we could all meet up some weekend :) Let me know. It would be great meeting others moms like me in the area :)

OK, I'll put it on the calendar.  I will have to leave at 10 b/c my parents will be arriving shortly after.  I expect to be down there with my bike and Burley with 2 kids (4-1/2 yo girl and 18 mo boy).  I won't show up if it is raining (expecting storms all day Friday).

No worries.  I was there with the kids - they always have a good time.  Weekends aren't very convenient for me, since Sat morning is typically my "time off" from the kids and we usually find many things to keep us busy the rest of the weekend.  But let me know.  Saturday afternoons are sometimes OK - but always at mercy of my son's nap.
