I found out this week at 16w 2d that we are having a baby girl! Its our first child, and both of us are super excited! My husband always had a feeling it would be a girl, even though i know he was hoping for our first born to be a son. Now its time to start looking for a name! :) How far along were you when you found out the baby's gender? Are you finding out this time?

Some interesting statistics that an ultra sound tech has shared with me- 10 years ago only 40% of women wanted to know baby's gender. These days 90% of women find out. Thought that was interesting!

Congratulations!! I'm hoping we find out at the 20 week anatomy scan. If we were just having one, we weren't going to, but with two we figure we've had enough surprises for now! I think I'll ask them to write it down, though so we can open it up in private.

Super congrats...my first was a girl too!  It is super wonderful having that mother daughter relationship!  Lots of beautiful memories to look forward to!

I am thinking Olivia Joan , I always loved the name Olivia and Joan is my mother in laws first name, I think it's a perfect one syllable name that rhymes well with Olivia. Now just have to work on my husband and convince him..... He doesn't really have any girl names in mind, so hopefully we can settle for this. Does anyone have any cute baby girl name ideas? Do share! I am open to ideas!

How exciting tetiana!!!

This is our second and we waited for birth to learn our first's sex (boy!).  We thought we'd do the same this time.... but were getting really curious!  So we thought 'why not"... we were hesitating because I don't like all the gender stereotypes people project on a baby according to their sex, but I also think knowing the sex 5 months before we meet the person won't hurt either.

We absolutely don't care either way and just want someone healthy!

Today I had an apt and the Dr took a peek for us.....

I had him write it down so DH and I could discover it together tonight.

I gave him a card to write it on, and he said he'd added a picture from the scan into the envelope too.  So DH said let's look at the picture first and guess, but Surprise! he had written it on the picture!!!

It's a boy!

You guys are all finding out so soon!  Ahhh, congratulations!!!  Our appointment is at the end of July for the anatomy scan.  We are both taking the day off so after we find out the sex, we are going to go shopping for baby clothes and then out for lunch at our favorite pizza place.  I am really annoyed that people are assuming that of course I want a girl.  It's our first baby and I would be thrilled with either, we just care that the baby is healthy.  I feel bad if this little bean is a boy and people are acting like I should be disappointed if it is.  So I have been telling everyone that I really, really want a boy!

SO EXCITING LILAC11!!! :) Congratulations!!! I have not told any of our friends yet the sex of our baby. I am planning to host a sex reveal dinner party, do the poll, get name recommendations and then reveal baby's sex with a color of a cake filling, which of course will be strawberry  :) Just another reason to celebrate and get together with friends.
