How will I survive till the 9th!

Anyone else waiting on pins and needles for a first sono?  Im starting to think they might find an extra in there!  My HCG for 14 dpo was 478, which is out of the range of the hcg charts I've seen.  And I know, I know, hcg alone isnt a dependable determining factor for multiples.  I still find it to be... interesting!  Unfortunatley I havent had any further blood work so I have nothing to compare it to.

Yeah, Im going to go NUTS before July 9th.

Anyone else waiting rather impatiently for a first appt/sono?

Oh dear, there is so much for me to relearn... but I don' t know what HCG levels are... I wonder if we tracked this the first pregnancies I had? I can't remember! Too much time has passed. All I remember is having to go the bathroom and fill a cup. But I don't remember much else.. brain fog.

My first appointment will be at 11 week mark. I will be with the same midwife I had for my previous pregnancies and she is 2 hours away smile.gif... so she lets me stretch out my appointments so that I don't have to go in so much. I was pretty anxious for the first 24 hours after I found out, but once I got her on the phone and she said she was willing to drive out to my house again, I felt much better! Most of my anxiety during pregnancy is all about the birth... I seriously spend the entire 8 months meditating and getting ready to give up control to my body... I worry about the big picture, but the small milestones come and go for me.

One thing I am excited for, both of my kids are big enough to remember this appointment! They will get to hear the babies heart beat and it will be pretty cool. Especially since we asked them to not share the news about bean without permission... though my DH has probably told everybody by now.

Edit: OH HCG ... innocent.gif google is a good friend of mine.

I absolutely am.

My first one will be on June 27 and I'm so excited/nervous to see a heartbeat that it feels like the days are crawling by. I've also noticed some worries about multiples creeping into my head lately because I'm only 7 weeks and I seem to be showing more than expected for a first preg. DH thinks it would be great to have twins because "imagine if it was a boy and a girl... we could get it all done at the same time".

Says the person who doesn't have to carry around and push out two humans!

Ha, I don't know that I really want twins, but right now I feel like I do...If I'm going to have morning sickness anyway, it might as well be two for the price of one, right?  But then my practical husband reminds me that I'm talking about 3ish months of MS as opposed to several YEARS of baby and toddler craziness.  Hmmmm....

Maybe you're showing a bit earlier since it is your second pregnancy this year?

I am counting down until i can start trying to use my doppler - i'm going to hold out another week to charge it (which will be, super early still, 7 wks 4 days) and then i will try to hold out until 8 weeks (July 2) to try it.. then i'll be searching daily until i find this baby..  during my last pregnancy i tried until 8 wks 2 days and then left town for a 9 days and did not bring my doppler, and i was able to easily find the baby when i got back.. i am hoping that searching daily will help the time go by faster than it is now where i don't have any hope of confirmation that everything is going well ..  we are also waiting until i find the HB to tell family/friends ..  i have a midwife appt July 7th just shy of 9 weeks.. again. if my appt was a week later i would be more excited about it, i'm afraid we won't be able to find the HB then which is fine, caus ei can keep trying my doppler.. so really, i'm counting down to an unknown day.. i just want to hear this HB so i can start really telling people and make it real!

My first OB appt is the 20th of July--which will make me 10 weeks or so. I hope to get in beforehand though for an ultrasound. After having 2 miscarriages, I like to know that there is a baby & a heartbeat. I normally start to breathe easier around week 15.

I'm not sure when I am meeting with my MW though. She's on holiday currently. I haven't done bloodwork yet & am in limbo land about that.
