but....I had my first appointment today and there was a heartbeat!  160 bpm.  Took a few (nervous) minutes to find but boy did my pulse go down once she found it.

Amazing, although I've been sick and had all the symptoms it didn't feel *real* before.  I guess it's the nature of things you don't plan!  Surprises all around!

It's such a great sound. I made a recording on my phone of ours so I could send the clip to my parents. My mother (who is very religious) says that she thinks it sounds like god is talking directly to her. I don't know if I would put it quite that way, but I get what she means. Pure magic.
