Really Strange and Clear Dreams

Last night I dreamed that I was attending some kind of fashion/art/film expo with some friends from a different province and one (7.5 month preg) local friend. There were many celebrities there but it was a really small theatre and they were putting on these little skits until this man came in and started shooting up the place.

The strange thing is that the expo continued like nothing had happened immediately after the shooting ended and everyone returned to check out the booths were people were selling things and giving away samples. I had a diaper bag with me but I kept going back and forth about whether I was still pregnant or if I had had the baby already.

Is anyone else having these really clear dreams pretty much every night? I've always had strange dreams, but they seem to be getting more bizarre

I have had really vivid dreams since a few days before my BFP. I usually remember maybe 1 or 2 dreams each week, but this week I've woken up remembering almost all of them. They've been totally random too! One night I dreamed I was building a castle out of strange Lego blocks--my DH tried to wake me up, and I sleep-murmered, "no, I have to finish my castle!" lol

yes. me! i'm not having them every night but i have them every few nights and they are crazy clear and real ..  though usually not something that would actually happen - last night i had a really clear dream that i found the baby's heartbeat on doppler..... at like 6.5 weeks, making me believe that i was actually further along, that was the most realistic dream yet and my first positive dream about the pregnancy so it was kind of fun..

I have always had vivid dreams but I would say they have gotten more narrative and bizarre since being pregnant.  I remember having horrible nightmares all the time with my last but this time I have about 50-50 weird dreams and nightmares.  I have already had one dream about a little blond baby boy and several dreams about nursing and one about miscarriage but the rest are just c-a-r-a-z-y! I know there are studies about increased dream recall during pregnancy- probably linked with increase in hormones and other neurotransmitters.

This is just what I was wondering about. It's so weird how vivid dreams get during pregnancy! I would love to learn more about why.

Last night I dreamed that I became extremely intoxicated (I was pregnant in my dream, too). I woke up feeling scared and disappointed, and it's been hard to shake that feeling all day, even though it's not based on anything real. I don't even drink alcohol when not pregnant!

I don't usually remember my dreams. But when I am pregnant, I start having amazing dreams.

In fact, my very first pregnancy symptom was one of those. . Around implantation, I Dreamt that I brought home some plants. The plants had caterpillars in ithem and I was fine with it, after all, they belonged together. Then some guests came to the house and convinced me that I had to kill the bugs. They had grown a lot, then when I tried against the caterpillars, they started growing and growing and becoming wildly aggressive. I woke up when the monsters started to attack (to kill) my guests. The feeling was "well done for giving me Ill advice".not that I agree with that feeling, should I blame the advisor? Oh dreams!

I suspected I was pregnant because I very rarely remember my dreams. Why suddenly then?

I think it has to do with my overall mood. I am my happiest, most tranquil and positive self during pregnancy. I feel that this positive change in mood is hormonal. Consequently, if I am more relaxed, I remember my dreams.

I have had one baby dream, which is unusual for me. I don't normally have any dreams about baby while pregnant. Anyways, I dreamed we were having an ultrasound & having the anatomy checked. The baby had 3 distinct lines & was a girl. Funniest part about the dream is that while we do at least one u/s we don't find out the gender & the same day one of my friends announced her pregnancy with #4 & we're due about 6 weeks apart or so. They have 3 girls & we have 3 boys.
