My daughter finds all the CSI type shows fascinating, so I had signed my DD (12 yo) to attend a CSI class at the local CC this summer. Unfortunately, due to low interest, the class was cancelled. My daughter was pretty upset, so to soften that, I suggested we run our own CSI class at home.
So, I'd like to see if anyone has some recommendations for the following things:
A book that helps run the CSI case(s). I have found two that seem interesting: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1593633122/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0787966304/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER
Books on chemistry experiments (general, and/or that would be CSI related)
Books on entomology (general and/or that would be CSI related)
A microscope recommendation (not too spendy; can be used for slides as well as being able to look at bugs.)
Supplies to support, like a CSI field kit, or a list of necessary items to pull off the experiments/mystery.
TIA for any help you can give me!
